I hated watching Trey DePriest play for Bama. Felt only reason he got any playing time was due to experience while others much more talented sat on the bench.

DJ Welter ... John Chavis loved him and really screwed LSUs linebacking core. Kendell Beckwith was on the bench while this guy was playing.

My vote goes to a former Bama player. His name is Chris Capps. Starting RT in the Shula years. A lightly recruited 2 star prospect from Georgia. The guy was weak, he was slow and he had poor technique. Wasn't very big either. He was almost the cause of death to Brodie Croyle.


It was always a mystery to me how Shula let his Oline get in such terrible shape that the guy had to actually play, much less start. I don't blame the kid...hell, I blame Shula.

Coach, do you remember how many OL fran recruited during his time at Bama? Shula was the definition of average but he didn't have a lot to work with and he had to recruit with one hand tied behind his back.
