Indeed.

I thought the refs were terrible all game. Terrible and SEC refs are the norm sadly

That pic doesn't show the ball. That's cherry picking screen shots.

That's kind of the point. The ball is still in the hands of the center. It's the only pic I got.

I've said in every thread that this blown call by the refs didn't cost us the game, but if they call delay there, Florida has to try again from 5 yards back. Pretty important.

Does it have to be out of his hands or just moving? Serious question because I don't know the rule.

I presume that it at least has to be completely out of the hands of the center to be considered snapped, but I don't know what the rule actually says.

Hard to claim the ball is in the hands of the center with no ball in the picture. The ball just has to be out of his hands. The replay was much closer than that screenshot. Not gonna cry about a potential .1 or so seconds.

We got lucky on a no-call on a targeting earlier in the game that could have more than of a impact than that. Officials miss shite all the time.

I would actually presume the opposite. Both lines move as soon as the center does not as soon as the ball is out of the center's hands. But I'm with you I don't know the rules either.

You can't see the ball in the picture so that means it hasn't been snapped yet. It was close but on replay it's obvious the ball didnt get snapped on time.

Doesn't matter anyway.

I agree, and I said in all the threads last night that if we had defended the pass, we wouldn't care what the refs missed.
Many opportunities for UK to put that game away last night and they didn't.

It just would have made the touchdown pass five yards longer.

a) penalty and reset time allows UK more time to regroup
b) 5 yards adds both distance and the time to cover that distance into the new equation.

Agreed. And there were many for UF to put that game away last night and they didn't.

Both teams pooped their pants on different occasions.

I think we potentially caught a break with the call, but in real time it was very close. You can't tell in any of the angles if the center has started to snap the ball. Generally, when it is that close they aren't going to call a delay.

Yeah, I won't argue that. If we defend the play at all, it likely wouldn't have mattered. How you let Robinson get that wide open on that play is ridiculous.

I give Driskel credit for making a nice throw in those conditions.

Acting like the no call wasn't a big deal is crazy. 4 and goal from the 12…I would love to see the stats on picking that up. It appeared to be a missed call, but it was close. The receiver at the bottom of the screen was also not set for 1 second.

Don't feed the Stonehog troll.

And as others have said, there were opportunities for UK to win the game. That said it doesn't make it any less shitty of a missed call. Whether the refs had issues throughout the game or not, that's a pretty crucial time to miss it. But it is what it is.

Eh...it balances out the missed ejection for the massive late hit spear to the back on Kelvin Taylor. I'll post the video when I find it but it was like Fairley had re-joined the SEC.

If you find video of every missed call from last night, this thread will last forever.

If you think that "balances it out" I'm not real sure what to tell you. That seems to be the shitty excuse of the day for Florida fans around here to avoid acknowledging the refs may have fricked up in OT of the game.

And the Gators faux outrage over it is even more hilarious with the shite Florida players have pulled (and pulled last night with the scuffle that was started by a Florida player).

Yep. Officials are only human. They only have the luxury of watching it on tv when they do replays. Hell, teams hold on almost every single play.
