The coaches participating on the selection committee were Baylor's Art Briles, Rutgers' Kyle Flood, Duke's David Cutcliffe, Rice's David Bailiff, Alabama's Nick Saban, Michigan's Brady Hoke, Oklahoma's Bob Stoops, former Eastern Michigan coach Ron English, Colorado State's Jim McElwain -- who, it must be noted, coached McCarron at Alabama -- and Stanford's David Shaw

Gotta agree with RandySavage. Studies have shown that coaches watch very few games other than their own and future opponents' game film. In fact, they often know so little, they let the SID or a GA fill out their ballot.

You may believe he's average but IMO he's the best QB that Bama's ever had. I hope he makes it at the next level but there is no guaranty.
