Something to think about with BoB to just put into perspective how bad he is

It’s a bit circumstantial but…..

The 3 QBs he’s been around the longest and most notably are as follows:

Tom Brady
Deshaun Watson
Bryce Young

That’s 2 multiple year all pros, a Heisman runner up (2x), a Heisman winner, a QB with 7 SB rings, and arguably the greatest QB in the history of the game at least resume and stat wise.

EVEN WITH TOM frickING BRADY, he wasn’t able to win a Super Bowl. He couldn’t win anything notable with Deshaun Watson. He managed to have Alabama’s worst season since 2010 with Alabama’s only Heisman QB ever

This guy is the football equivalent of scarlet rot from Elden Ring when it comes to offense. He had the 3 greatest QBs in the history of each program he visited and managed to win NOTHING.

Dude should never get past analyst anywhere ever. He was an analyst on that 2007 patriot team btw. Was a sign of things to come.

Alabama’s offense had some struggles at times this year but they usually managed to find a rhythm and score in bursts. The Texas and Texas A&M games are exceptions but at least one of those games was with a backup QB making his first start.

I see a lot of Golding apologia on here lately and it is completely undeserved. BOB is more deserving of it than Pete. BOB’s big problem is calling plays that take advantage of weaknesses. He’s more of an execution guy - which is smart in the NFL - but college is largely about finding your opponent’s future salesman on the field and harassing him with your future all-pro player.

His offense is structurally sound, it just gets choppy due to the emphasis on execution on the core plays rather than looking for shock and awe mismatch plays.
