I still can't figure it out.

For us to have lost everything but Dak we have managed pretty good up to this point in the season.

Sidenote: No Dan Mullen Coached Mississippi State football team has finished last in the SEC West.

You think a 9-3 record gets Dak to New York?

Depends on if we beat Bama or not.

If we lose to Bama but Beat OM and Ark I don't see him getting an invite unless he has a ton of TDs in those games.

Same reason people picked LSU to go 7-5. They are dumb.

The media/talking heads didn't pick LSU to go 7-5 many picked Mississippi State to have a losing season and go winless in the West.

History of losing would be my guess.

Don't get your feelings hurt, but you're probably gonna be picked there again next year... now that the greatest player in program history is graduating.

Predictions and prognostications along with "professional opinions" blow

No one can see the future, and in the end, those predictions and opinions don't mean a whole lot (don't mean shite in pro sports) perceptions play a role for sure, but not as much as people think.

You let Mizzou score 13 pts, Bama might hang 40 on you

Road SEC games are hard to win when you turn it over 3+ times. Our RBs had two crucial fumbles one of which was on the 3 yard line and we also allowed A&M to score on a 4th and goal where we had them. Flip those two plays and its a different ball game.

Because they lost about everybody but Dak.

If they had lost Dak too, they would have been picked last in the EAST.

This. And it doesn't help that you are in the toughest division in CFB. I mean someone's got to be last. It was process of elimination. And we see how moronic these preseason dick ridings go with Auburn. That went from a quality win if you beat them to a whoopdy doo win. But the alternative is losing to them. And nobody in Starkvegas wanted that to happen. So at least you beat them. But that A&M game is looking more and more puzzling.

So far, y'all are just one game better than that prediction. Even those of us who thought Auburn was all hype never saw that shitshow coming. I would put y'all as a slight favorite over Arky and a toss up with Ole Miss but y'all haven't proven anyone wrong just yet.

Honestly, this has as much to do with Auburn as it does with State. Auburn was supposedly a national title contender going into the season. Had they turned out to be even remotely good, State very well could have ended up last in the west and winless in the west. Auburn is their only SEC West win right now, and they very well could lose to Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss to finish the season. I hope that doesn't happen, but if State finishes the season 7-5 and 1-5 in the west, most people's preseason predictions wouldn't be too far off. JMO
