On the other hand, Kellenberger, writing for the Clarion Ledger, had this to say:
"Ole Miss had tried to paint this all as something that happened way before Hugh Freeze, which is not true."

In less polite terms, "someone at Ole Miss was lying."

Coming from a former non-football student athlete at A&M. It's BS that football players get money, cars, etc. on top of a FREE fricking education. I'm sorry, but that is more than enough to compensate for running out on a field and hitting each other for 15 minutes.

You get different school around the country harassed by the NCAA for some dumb arse kid signing jerseys, and alabama kids are driving around in custom rims and new cars. Like wtf... NCAA is at a tipping point and they know it. Don't poke the bear to

Dude. There's really nobody "lobbying" to get rid of the NCAA. You're so stupid.

Not sure how old you are, but I remember too well how the old wild & wholly the SWC used to be: nothing but outlaw programs run amok. Warts & all, college football needs the NCAA to keep all the trash & POS under control.

Will your tune change if we make it 3 in a row? Just curious.

If it comes with yet another national championship why should any Alabama fan give a shite. If it came with 5 more national championships over a 10 yr period I wouldn't care if Bama lost the next ten to OM either.

I'll edit to add if the only thing I had to look forward to is sanctions and penalties and the highlight of my season is beating any particular team especially one that's dominated the team I pull for id probably find something else to do.

I would like to see the NCAA start enforcing rules with an iron fist.Maybe that would motivate the NFL to set up a farm program of some type.

There is no reason for a kid that doesn't care about college,to have to go to college, just so he can play football.

Scholarships should be going to kids that can really appreciate them.We would enjoy the sport just as much, maybe even more.

I'm serious. There already has been talks from the large conferences who get tired of ncaa having retarded rules to having rules and not enforcing them. These conferences bring in billions of dollars in revenue and the ncaa trots around and does frick all. It's not as far fetch as you think once you stop and think about it. You probably thought getting rid of the BCS was just crazy and out of this world retarded. But turns out you are just too stupid to see this world is changing and people want new shite.

There has been talk from some stupid sportswriters and fans. No major conference has even considered moving away from The NCAA. It's not going to happen.

I did?..damn, and I thought a playoff was a helluva idea. Goes to show what I know!

By the way, you do realize that NCAA membership is optional, right?....and what's your alternative to the NCAA? I can't wait to hear your reply.

If Ole Miss wants to see who can pay the most for the best players, they would probably come in about 7 or 8th in the SEC every year if not worse.

Some one would still find ways to pay more under the table. Allowing authorized payments to athletes will not make cheating go away.
