I would imagine cancer would warrant staying on the job for medical bills.

He should have followed Bruce Pearl's son around to Sky Bar, probably still loses his family but at least he wouldn't get fired for some extra hitting practice with a player

I am not sure what happened, I AM SURE that the reason will come out in time. I think the posters on here are correct that it involves a student or player.

Fast forward 7 months later and out of nowhere there's a resignation from a very good, young head coach in waiting who would've likely inherited a top 5-10 softball team in the very near future. With his entire career ahead of him, it suddenly dawned on him that he needs to focus on family. Resignation effective immediately, photo already removed from the Auburn website.
