Anybody should have seen that coming. You can't beat bama with no play makers and a bad offensive line. It's not a good matchup at all.

It is true though that I don't really see anybody in the SEC with the kind of team/QB to give bama's D much trouble. It's going to have to take a great defensive effort combined with no turnovers and good special teams play to beat them in a pretty low scoring affair.

Auburn at home has the potential to play that kind of game otherwise I don't see bama being challenged much in the conference this year.

Curb stomps? FSU looked like the better team when they had their QB health

This narrative is bull shite. We had picked him twice and beat him mercilessly for almost 4 full quarters. He got hurt after the game was out of reach and really he should not have been in anymore. Nor should Bama defensive starters either.

I mean, LSU looked better last year vs Bama than FSU did. Even without scoring.

But yes, Bama is #1 until someone in the SEC decides to step up.

However, LSU's D looks really fricking good this year. We finally have a Front 7 that looks legit.

Hopefully we continue to improve on the O side of things...

Didn't curb stomp. 2 ST disasters that led to TDs isnt indicative of Bama's power.

Bama's D played well but the O didn't look like it curb stomped anyone

Francois wasn't hurt until the 6:00 mark in the fourth quarter. They didn't see the redzone again, after the blocked field goal in the first half.

FSU's last 11 possessions were:

Punt
Punt
Punt
FG block
Punt
Punt
Punt block
Fumble
Interception
Interception
Punt (possession that Francois was injured on)

I went back and watched last season's opener against USC recently for the first time since the game was played. It looked very similar to our game against FSU - we struggled early offensively and never really looked all that coordinated, and USC looked like they could hang for a while. We ended up blowing them out on the scoreboard, of course, but it was all big plays and turnovers, not really a start-to-finish beatdown. Last season ended up playing out pretty well for us, though. I expect this one to do the same.

Their second possession. He listed all their possessions after their TD drive.

Give it up to bama and saban for always capitalizing on other teams mistakes that's one reason bama has been so dominant recently.

Another reason is that Bama has a lot to do with why other teams make those mistakes.
