I put it squarely on not having an SEC officiating crew.
So do I.
But truthfully that game had like what, 5 penalties in it? OSU made more plays.

We could have done a lot of things different but that's just woulda, shoulda, coulda shite. They just beat us. We never give up a 100 yards rushing and their guy had over 200. No good way to spin it. Bama's defense was very pedestrian and it takes a great defense to win it all, or be very friggin lucky (says AU 2010).

Without him OSU probably drops 55+ on us

bama didn't lose; ohio state won. old fashion arse kicking. just think what it would have been had ohio state not screwed up their first few trips to the red zone.

Yup SEC sucked this year. We just happened to be better than all of them. Turns out it meant nothing. I sort of figured this out when Auburn managed to lose a team that just got arse pounded 59-0 and Lsu lost to a terrible ND team. SEC - end of an era.
Pretty sure this is what I was trying to say yesterday. Bama was the best in an average conference.
SEC needs to get hungry again and kids need to stay in school. Other conferences are catching up, which is better overall for the game. Good days ahead for college football, but SEC dominance is over.

I'm not so sure about that, but he definitely is the definition of flipping the field. I've seen some great performances by punters in the past but given the circumstances it was definitely the best display I have seen.
FWIW, the best punting I have seen in person was Tom Tupa in '85. OSU was on their own 25 and he drove one through the end zone. 85 yds in the air.

Usual talking point is "they didn't want to be there."
Oh, wait, that is reserved for Auburn and Ole Miss this year. Please forgive me as I forgot.

Ohio State was the better team that day. The media and others spent a month telling Ohio State they were lucky to be there and that Bama was going to beat them. Bama players spent a month hearing how great they were. In the end, Ohio State was motivated, and this was a good, but not great Alabama team. This Bama team did not dominate its opponents like other Bama teams in recent years, so the result shouldn't have come as a huge surprise in hindsight.

Actually very similar to 2006 Ohio State, which is where this all began

Was Tupa the qb for OSU too?
Posted on 1/4/15 at 8:54 pm to tress4pres
I remember him playing in the NFL. He started as a QB and then had successful career as a punter.

He was an ok college QB but made a great living as a punter.
