What is Gus' buyout on the new contract that another team would have to pay?

That "fwiw" did you in.

Saban at Bama is one heck of a Carrot
He's good for the SEC overall vibe

Great competition usually breeds success
The SEC does this better than anyone else in CFB

After what happened in Alabama when Bama lost? The state of Alabama certainly dodged a bullet... Litterally.

Of course LSU fans are disappointed, this man scorned us and then knocked us down to second (erm well sometimes third) place with his new team. The only thing good about Saban staying is that now LSU has more opportunities to redeem ourselves against him.

No doubt there are a lot of disappointed LSU fans that won't admit it........ but there should be a lot of disappointed Bama fans that won't admit that MOST LSU fans never really believed he would walk away from what he has built in Tuscaloosa. We aren't "disappointed". This is what we fully expected.

In fact, most of the LSU posts I read were clearly trolls and people like Genro bit hard enough to live on an LSU message board the entire week. I'd say all in all the level headed LSU fans pulled off a solid troll job

This.

I enjoyed the past week fricking with that dude.

It's good that y'all can find enjoyment somewhere within this college football season.

Saban's 6-6 vs. Auburn @ Bama: (L'07, W'08, W'09, L'10, W'11, W'12, L'13) @ LSU (L'00, W'01, L'02, W'03, L'04) Saban 4-3 vs. LSU as HC @ Bama

Saban's either 4-3 against both LSU and Auburn while at Bama, OR he is 6-6 vs Auburn and 4-4 vs LSU overall.

Try using the same criteria for your comparisons, kthxb.

As a LSU fan the last thing I wanted was Saban running off to Texas playing with all the talent in Texas in the sorry big 12.Win or loose at least if he is at bama we have a shot at him every year.

Exactly. Even though Bama has won 3 straight,...the gap between them and LSU is not that great. The 2014 class will close that gap. My biggest concern is that Saban to UT would cost us the 3 stud Texas DB's we are in the mix for and hurt our recruiting in TX in the future.

....and how long did they stay down? I think last season has been forgotten by them and the college football world. Wouldn't you agree?

auburn fans have tried to forget it...

I had a buddy that was melting down this year after you lost to LSU, I told him to calm down, it was only one game. now look at where you are.

Honestly you guys are acting like world beaters now like you will never lose another game against us or anybody else.

fair weather fans for sure.

Don't get too excited. You guys were 4 plays away from being 7-5.

And you guys were one play away from being undefeated.

Yet, here we are. AU fans planning trips to Pasadena while bama fans murder each other. What a difference 4 plays can make.

Enjoy your moral victory.
