Fred Ross and DeRunya would start on any SEC team.

38-35 Dawgs. We have a late fumble/dumb fourth down call and State kicks a last second field goal. It'll be my first Egg Bowl in Starkville, so I'm planning on a good time either way.

State would have like 4-5 wins if you replace Dak with your average SEC quarterback.

He's their everything.
Yeah I get what you mean but I don't think Mullen would replace Dak with an average SEC quarterback. LSU should do everything they possibly can do to get Dan Mullen.

All part of the passing game, though.

They have a pretty decent defense, but no running game.

Everything they do is predicated on Dak.

ETA: Not hating on State, just appreciating how good Dak is. I think he should borderline win the Heisman.

Agreed on that point.

Our offenses are exactly the same. We both try to run 160 pound backs up the middle, both rely on elite QB's, and have a star receiver that we can just throw it up to.

It really is crazy how similar the two teams are. Turnovers in this game will play a big part. Lots of scoring.

It is one of the most evenly-matched egg bowls I've seen. Even the game plans should be relatively the same: Get to swag/dak early, and test the opposing secondary deep early

Yeah no doubt this is a dead even game. There was a minute or two where I was concerned MSU was gonna whip Arkansas's arse because they played good defense in a couple stretches. I guess that's why I lean MSU. OM can't play d at all. I very well might be wrong. Either way the Egg bowl will be must see tv so

There's a lot on the line. Winner should get the Sugar Bowl after Florida loses its last two (thank God cuz right now they'd embarrass the conference).
