A lot of it has to do with playing UTk and their history of going after opponents knees and trying to hurt players.

It's crazy though.

Crowell, Gurley, Marshall, Chubb (i knew it was coming at some point, but didn't think it would be that bad). While Crowell wasn't out of commission, he was injury prone as well.

All I can say is that Michel better guard his body.

Michel already tore his ACL in HS.

Marshall took a dirty hit right on the knee.

Chubb took a late hit out of bounds and his freaky balance is the only reason he was on his feet out of bounds to begin with. An average back is on his butt and their knee is never hurt.

NFL wise: Moreno tore his ACL, Terrell Davis had to retire because of his knees, Robert Edwards knee got ripped to shreds in a pro bowl beach volleyball game, Musa Smith had his shin broke in half, and Garrison Hearst tore his knee up very bad + broke his ankle very bad.

Clearly, its a curse.

to the OP i say its just bad luck, but now on to the biggest issue..

Karma!

Those dirty shots they take at other teams putting players out for the season.

It comes back as bad karma and bites them on the arse.

UT fans are the last to even mention this shite, why is it almost every time a big time play maker blows his knee out it is against you sorry pieces of shite. I would like to know how many knees your field and your players have blown out over the past decade (Marcus was a freak accident I know). It comes a time where you cant just use freak accident each and every time. STFU and realize yall are worse than the Saints with a bounty-gate.

I'm trying to understand how Chubb injuring himself on the first offensive drive is karma for a lineman injuring Tuttle later in the game.

Dude, seriously, you need to get a fricking grip. That isn't your kid, your friend, or anyone you know. It's violent sport where shite like this happens all the time. You need to calm the frick down and move on. Dwelling on it and showing your arse 5 days after the fact is pathetic.

Chubb should have conditioned his knee to bend forward. Lesson learned.

I find it interesting that if you watch that video all the way through, that a Tennessee defender is diving at Sony Michel's knees out of bounds.

Quite simply, stars don't reach their potential at UGA. I don't blame UGA for it, but it just seems like things never fully align. Not always injuries (Gurley).

Granted, that happens most places to some extent. There is a reason why the elite class of player is pretty small (we'll see if Fournette gets there, for example). But it does seem that things go awry more often at UGA.

isn't he the guy that took himself out for a second time by hurting himself... jumping up and down celebrating?

that part actually makes a little bit of sense, RB's knowing how to fall right and as importantly when to fall can have a major impact.

No. That was Mitchell's first injury.

Marshall took a shoulder pad to the side of his knee.
