Miles just benefited from the players Saban recruited? Most of his major success came from the early part of his career at LSU.

Saban didn't recruit anyone from LSU's 2011 team, and that's arguably one of the top 5 most talented teams of all time. So, no, Saban was not right.

I never heard NS say that. LSU has a great recruiting base and being close to Texas helps. The difference is NS realized the game has evolved and being able to quick tempo and pass the ball more to help offset the teams who score quickly is a must. Lesticles never made that change. NS did by hiring Kiffy.

Saban never said that. some Bama fans would say that back in 07-09 probably. Haven't heard it as much since then.

Bingo, Les is too stubborn to change. Saban has shown he isn't. Regardless of how much he may hate what college football has turned into, Saban knew that to continue to be dominant he had to adapt. Les thinks he can still run ground and pound everyone and out-will and out-talent other teams to win. Just doesn't work like that anymore.

Alabama hasn't run much up-tempo this year. The offense has been more of a smash mouth, grind it out attack - closer to what we saw at Alabama from 2008-11.

Saban is just a better coach.

He could have probably saved his job if he would let the OC do what the OC wanted to do. But LSU's inability to develop a QB will be his ultimate undoing

not much uptempo but there are times and places where Bama runs it and it is effective.

They won the game of the century. I would argue that is the big one?

Saban ALWAYS gave Les his respect. In three losses, and seven wins, he gave Les his respect. As did pretty much everybody else.He earned every one his losses and wins just like every other coach. And then somewhere in the middle of it all Les became this kind of beloved figure throughout cfb. Anybody that seeks to tarnish that man's legacy at his lowpoint with cheap throwaway trolling is an a-hole in my book.

the SEC is a better conference when LSU and UGA and UF and AU are all good. This year the conference is not as strong as in the past and we are a league with terrible QB's top to bottom. MSU and ARK are the only teams who can brag about great QB play. UF we doing it before their guy got suspended
