So the West has had a division winner ranked over 20th 3 times?

While the East has never had one ranked over 20? Interesting.
Arkansas twice (#23 in 1995 and #22 in 2002) and Miss State #23 in 1998.

I'm not sure you understand how higher and lower work.

Your arbitrary rankings reference still doesn't change the West's 12-11 lead over the East.
I wasnt arguing anything like that.
Seems the West has been further down the rabbit hole at times than the East contrary to popular narrative around here.

Arkansas represented the West in 02 because Alabama was on a postseason ban.

It's not just how bad one division is, you must factor in the strength of the other division. The gap has never been wider.

I wasn't referring specifically to a single year, but to the current west streak versus the east dominance of the '90's.

The east was the dominant division in the conference for a pretty good stretch. Probably never as deep as the west is now, but super strong at the top.
