Actually I'm forcing people to think about what they're saying.

All people say is "Alabama is overrated" without any thought to where they should be rated.

If Alabama deserves to be #7 and is ranked #5, are they really that over-rated?

The nice thing is, you have two games to prove them wrong.

#3 based on "rankings" behind MSU and FSU.

I would have them Pick or chalk on neutral field vs any team in the country..even though they are Saban's 7th best Tide squad in his 8 years as Bama HC..think the 2010 3 Loss Tide would humiliate them.

Even if they win by a TD or far more the rest of the way, and knock off an unbeaten FSU, and/or 1 L Oreg/TCU/etc..

Will not change my mind, that they are a very talented, very green at certain positions/units,etc..

None of the other three Saban Tide title squads would've let 2014 Old Myth, Ark, or LSU teams within 13 to 17 minimum.

It's a year of parity..take it down. Demoralizing that Saban's worst squad sans his 2007 inherited 7-6 ULM loss lot, stands to make CNS bat .500 on Nattys in 8 Bama seasons.

Used to pull for all SEC teams to win BCS title, but starting with last year, I have 'Bama Fatigue'..was as elated as an Aubie fan with 'Kick-Six'

Oh I totally get the hate.

I was a huge Nebraska hater in the mid 90's and a huge USC hater in the early to mid 2000's.

It's human nature to get sick of the same person or team hogging up all the success in something that's very competitive.

I also agree Bama 2014 is not nearly as good or complete a team as the past championship teams, or even last year to be honest.

I just find it curious how irrational the hate makes people. You can make a legit case to put Alabama as low as #9 or #10 if you want, but the way people screech and hate they make it out like Alabama should be in others receiving votes, which just proves how rabid they are.

imagine LSU, Ole Miss and Bama playing each other 10 times. What do you think the results would be?

On a neutral site?

I'm guessing the results run very close together, for all three matchups. I think Bama is the beter team but the gap is very small, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was like 6-4.

And I think Ole Miss is slightly better than LSU, so that'd also be like 6-4.

In any given game a single big play or turnover would most likely decide it.

But the reason these 3 similarly powered teams are ranked #5, #10, and #17 is a function of their current records.

I pretty much agree. That's why I have no idea where Bama should be ranked.

I was p!ssed at my LSU Tigs for not eliminating Bama last weekend, as it would've allowed MSU the mulligan of not possibly facing the Tide again in pursuit of the Natty, even with an loss this next Saturday in TTown.

And also have a soft spot for even KSU(Snyder), Oregon(Uncle Phil getting very old..Belotti..Kelly), TCU(Patterson's organic program), Baylor(Briles, Teaff), and poor MSU without a Natty in school history(win one for Cristil, Polk, Sherrill)

Then this is what you need to post. Bama got dominated in the 2nd half. We were not dominated in the game. We had more yards and more yards per play. We gave up fewer yards per carry and fewer yards per play. We gave up a total of 259 yards of total offense.

You're friggin high(8/2 vs LSU), yet you have vs UM as 5/5? Unless intend a hypothetical healthy Old Myth, they are lite on the DL, broke down in a mere one month period when banging with Bama, LSU, and Aub OL/DLs.

How much recuperation time between the Best of 10? Because LSU and Bama are recruited, system'd, and play formationed with the high priority of besting one another as priority in order to win the West/SEC/Natty.

Granted, if healthy, I rated Old Myth just the same as did Vegas BMs 4 weeks ago, in a dead heat with Bama as the Natty Champ chalk(over MSU, FSU,etc..), but even despite injuries and depth issues, they were ragdolled a tad vs LSU and Aub..aka the 12 gm season + SECCG + Playoff..was bound to have possibly yielded a "whodathunkit" eventually..they just aren't at Bama, LSU, Aub level in depth and size just yet..but the gap is getting very narrow.
