2017: A&M won't fire Sumlin, they can't afford his buyout.

I’m not saying he has, but do you know for a fact that he hasn’t?

Crying on the Rant wasn't enough, you had to bring your whining over here...the sooner you accept O is gone the sooner you can move forward...

Why do you think LSU will be favored in every game left on the schedule?

9-3 with a BCS Bowl there is 0% chance they fire him. LSU will be favored in every game except Bama and their defense sucks

I’m not saying he hasn’t, but 2 years removed from the greatest team of all time and all current losses this season coming from pretty good teams, they aren’t going to wait until the end of the season to make a final decision?

What about if Auburn wins out and beats Bama and goes to Atlanta?

5-2, tied for second in the PAC 12 South. What’s their worst loss? Both losses to 5-2 teams.

I didn’t say “great.” I said “pretty good.”

IF he has signed a buyout, it is not because of the product on the field.

All I’m saying is that the sample size of the current record is too small right now to make the decision to can Orgeron right now.

That’s the point of the thread. Is it probable that LSU has already agreed to a buyout? I’d argue no. This is still a salvageable season with a head coach with a NC on his resume.

Edit: it isn’t like LSU is destined for the Independence or Liberty Bowl. Even with a loss to Bama, they could still get a quality NYD game like the Outback or Citrus Bowl. (Saban and Meyer had to deal with some Citrus Bowls in their heydays at Bama and Florida. If an 8-4 Citrus Bowl season is not good enough to stay at LSU, you’ve got too high of expectations.)

One thing about that loss to UCLA: That was UCLA’s second game of the season, LSU’s opener. Big advantage there, fwiw.
