Why didn't UF just nut up and play it in BR like USCe did last year?
ETA: Alleva just said that LSU made every effort to play the game. He even offered to play the game on in Gainesville on sunday or monday, and that UF has offered to reschedule the game.

Where can you find a neutral site in 5 days? UF wanted to see what happened as the hurricane was coming to gville. It changed, neither side could agree. It will be worked out.

It won't be worked out from LSU's end till Fla.agrees to pay it approx. $2M for its lost revenue from a home game plus S.Alabama's buyout. This game has been cancelled. But next yr in T.Stadium will be ugly, right up there with Saban's re turn that first time.

Per Joe Alleva, Florida never offered any other options. They knew the game would be cancelled if they didn't budge on moving from Gainesville.
