I'm not saying Leo or SuccessfulQuon didn't take shite, dumbass. I'm saying that a median income of $67,000 in Illinois is certainly not middle class.

Middle class income is usually defined as 30-75k ish. It is most definitely middle class. Making 60k a year definitely doesn't make you upper middle class

60k for a combined household means a couple of average cars, public school and one vacation a year.

I guess I'm seeing everything through my Mississippi-tinted glasses.

$60,000 salary is living well, where I'm from, especially for a single male.

60k for one person isn't bad at all, I probably wouldn't want to raise a family on that, though.

Yes

No clue yet

It actually is pretty darn good when you compare it to the median household income of Mississippi (btwn $30K to $35K).

Where I am from, the median income for a family is $46,232.

$67,000 is over $20,000 more than that and remember that your dollar goes further in Mississippi than it does in the Chicago area.

LIving in New Orleans, $60,000 for a single male would be great. However, I'm gonna have dat student loan doe.

Yeah, Houston is a bit below Chicago in real estate costs and pretty similar in rent costs and raising a family here on 60k would be tough. Renting inside the loop in Houston as a single male on 60k would be stretched pretty thin without roommates with 1BR rents at like 14-1500 for a decent safe place

Here is a real estate map CNBC does that's pretty good for showing markets for metro areas

Everything is just so expensive out there. When our parents sold our house, they were able to come out to houston and get the same house basically. Only that house cost 150k less than what my parents sold our house in LA for

Who cares if he got paid. Compensation is needed when one chooses to live in the dumpster known as Starkville. Hell they need to give him more.

Right before the Great Recession in 2006, my parents bought a four bedroom, 2.5 bath brick house on two acres in an elevated area (hurricane prevention, brah) for $225,000 or so, I think. This house has marble counters, tile floors, a two-car garage, high ceilings, fancy shite all over the place.

The same house, if placed in Uptown New Orleans, would go for $500,000
