It's funny I was called cynical Monday night when I said the niceties would be short lived. Those posters patting themselves and the gump nation on the back for.being so gracious in victory may have been a.little naive.
And OP, you can expect this for years. Bama fans normally cling to past wins for decades. Their grandchildren will brag about this one to your grandchildren. Of that I can assure you.

Kidding, brah. Realize, though, that we're still only a couple days removed from the game, and that Alabama fans had to eat a lot of shite on here after 9-6.
I would say that it continued solid right up to the game, but I ended up leaving until Monday because everyone posted what amounted to the same three threads over and over again.
Take it with a grain of salt. You had a fantastic season and your team accomplished quite a lot. Take solace in that.

I'm pretty sure one could find at least several dozen posts in my history where I admit that LSU is my second-favorite team.
I think the problem is that a lot of them simply don't reciprocate.
At least I don't have to be a fan of their fans.

Look again. I linked five. It took me about ten minutes of searching, and they only contain threads started by 'Bama fans congratulating LSU. There were hundreds of posts in other threads congratulating them.

It was actually 5, and those were just from the first couple of pages... ALabama fans have been saying all day that they think LSU will be good next year, and that it was a good game. I've made a point all day to tell LSU fans that they were incredibly gracious.
Similarly, I had countless fans approach me and tell me how nice Alabama fans were. Perhaps you are used to the shitty fans, but my experience is that if you are a shitty fan, you attract shitty fans.
