The massacre at Goliad was worse, tbh

I only know about the Alamo. We had to cover it in TN due to Crockett.

On February 23, approximately 1,500 Mexican troops marched into San Antonio de Béxar as the first step in a campaign to re-take Texas

Most eyewitness accounts reported between 182 and 257 Texians dead, while most historians of the Alamo agree that 400–600 Mexicans were killed or wounded.

1,500 v. 250?
250 dead v. 400-600?
Yeah, I guess they did lose, but that is an arse beating by any standard. 250 guys made Mexico the POS it is today.

frick no. Dumbest fanbase in the country by far. That 08 NC game with the OU fans was the worst experience I've ever had with another fanbase.
I hope A&M stomps them by 30.

Tbird,
Little trivia for you. Who was the first person injured in the Texas Revolution? You should know this, dude, or you are hereby ordered to surrender your black-man card.

TBird is a Missourian now. He's learning Missouri history...and what it means to hate jayhawkers.

I actually don't know the answer to that question Think my black-man card got revoked a long time ago though
And as Killz knows, my hatred for jayhawks burns more intensely than a thousand suns

Samuel McCulloch, Jr. a black freed slave was the first casualty of the Texas Revolution.
I'm a white dude, and that makes ME proud as frick.
ETA: And I didn't know that either until I looked it up to respond to Rebelgator.
So no worries. I am just shocked that the Samuel McColloch story is not more publicized.

That's real cool stuff, Kaizer. And I agree--that should be more publicized.
I'm just not much of a history buff, though.
