That would have to be some serious weather to get the folks to stop cooking and drinking.

It'd be worse actually. Don't flatter yourself pussy

On this site, I would imagine any West team would catch more heat than Florida.

No. You didn't and you know that. You know both teams looked like shite that day. The difference was, LSU could have played a better game where as Florida just looked like the did all year.

The LSU posters on this site would spin it so they were the good guys for saving the lives of the smaller school team. Then they would make the smaller school out to be bad guys for not cancelling another game to make an open date compatible with LSU's schedule. The nerve of those assholes after LSU saved their team's lives from getting wet in the rain.

Any thread that said anything other than that narrative would get whacked

We should probably reschedule, but I really wouldn't mind giving Stetson the win. It's not a huge deal, we lose midweek games to Florida schools pretty regularly. Stetson going public and making statements against UF is not the most professional approach especially if they want future games. This whole thing is not worth the hassle. They played very well, reschedule or forfeit and move on.

The worst part about this is it doesn't really matter that much if Florida loses this game. It's one mid-week game.

Would they get as much heat for it?

Non SEC game? No one really cares about college baseball that much, so no.

yeah and the win helps Stetson far more than the loss hurts Florida. Seems kind of dumb not to reschedule. The game is one inning from counting. Florida could easily reschedule, play one inning, and call it a day. I've seen teams agree to a mercy rule in a midweek non-conference game in the past. I know we did this against Tulane several years back.

Are you SERIOUSLY OUT OF YOUR EVERLOVING PHUCKING MIND ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

YOUUUUU people are the ones that "demanded" that LSU play two straight years in Gainesville!!!!
If you had just done what Alleva wanted IN THE FIRST PLACE -(play in Gainesville on Sunday or Monday) this whole situation could have been avoided.

Alleva and LSU MOST CERTAINLY DID
""""""""""""""N O T""""""""""""""""
want to play the game in Baton Rouge !!!

Alleva offered EVERY POSSIBLE SOLUTION after Sankey and Foley waited until THURSDAY to "cancel" the game !! - and this after repeatedly guaranteeing Alleva ALL WEEK that the game would be played in Gainesville !!

Alleva even offered to fly in on game day and fly out, even to play with no attendance, play with no security, play at a different venue not affected, play on Saturday night, Sunday or Monday - when, as it turned out, the weather would have been perfect (infrastructure notwithstanding).

What LSU fans are mad about, is that LSU had THE SAME OR WORSE infrastructure problems after Rita hit, and we rescheduled the Tennessee game to the following Monday night- and 93,000 showed up.

Even though Katrina had hit 3 weeks before, and Rita two days before!!! We ALSO had: People in shelters, traffic light problems, street light problems, flooding, emergency vehicles on the road, blocked roadways with debris, power outages, etc.
We STILL PLAYED THE GAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was FLORIDA'S PROBLEM, not LSU's !!!!

Why was LSU made the heavy ???????? This had absofrickinglutely NOTHING whatsoever to do with LSU !!!!

This was FLORIDA'S doing !!!!!!!!!
