If he makes it through this season he will at the very least make it to the end of his contract. LSU is very young and playing all but 2 freshman and a walk on.

He's not going to be fired after his first season as head coach, so nothing that happens this year can save or lose his job. He'll be judged on how the team does over the next couple of seasons. He'll get the benefit of the doubt from Alleva because Alleva's fate is likely tied to his.

I think the LSU coaches did an excellent job of getting the players to focus on UF and let the Troy loss stay in the rear view mirror. They didn’t lose the team, the coaches over came their differences and pressed on to get a solid win in a hostile environment. We will see if it carries over to the big game this weekend when AU comes to town. LSU bears a #11 ranked AU team and they will make a strong statement to everyone.

Oh I agree with all of this. I think they did a GREAT job this week and yesterday. The title was nothing more than a small part of my shot at McEl-humpashark.
