They look awesome and that Wall kid is one and done and probably a top pick in the draft.

So how bad are the Wildcats going to destroy everyone else. I don't want to think about that game with LSU.

Can Miss St. challenge them?

Tennessee and Florida are the only teams that will even pose an obstacle to their tirade through the SEC.

Mississippi State couldn't handle Rider or Richmond... Much less Kentucky...

Rider doesn't think so. Maybe Tennessee can challenge them.

I bet they will lose 3-4 games this year, maybe even 5. They look much worse than I anticipated and haven't really improved so far.

Tar Heels and UConn disagrees.

I do agree, we may lose 3-4 games this year...hopefully the L will not be Walls last game wearing a Cat jersey.

They are playing with two guys, and the bench is very short. The minute Wall sits, the team looks 10x worse, and even Patterson's game has regressed a little bit. That's due to Cal's system, and the fact that Patterson is better in a slower paced offense.

Cousins is as big of a baby as I was told last year, and he is great at getting 25/12 against UNC-Asheville, but I have yet to see him do anything consistent against a big school. He looks like a future NBA bust to me right now, especially if he goes pro after this year.

Wall is a surefire top 2 pick, but everyone knows that already.

UConn isn't very good (top 20 team, but nothing more) and they gave the Cats a very tough game. Before the season, I thought UK could be a Finla 4 type of team, but I am not seeing it right now. I actually think it's more likely that they are the team that pulls a Bill Self and loses to a 14/15 seed in the first round.

Of course, there is time to get better, but UK is kind of doing the same thing in every game.

Alabama will probably kick the shite out of them. Our football fans have decided to support coach Grant and the BBall team and become dominant in that also. I think the winning attitude from our football season is going to just spill over into basketball this year.

All BS aside, Ky is very good.

I do like our new coach though and I think he will make us better over the years.

So the 2 guys Wall and Patterson?
or Wall and Bledsoe?
or Wall and Cousins?
or Wall and Dodson?

2 guys? You realize Dodson is the best 3 shooter on the team?

You realize Pat Pat has found a shot beyond the arch, he looks solid in the system and actually looks like he is having fun, unlike last year. Dude, his stock is much higher then last year, he will be a top 15 pick, believe that!

Without looking at his numbers tonight, I think he had at least 12-14 against UConn...Got solid towards the end of the game...kid is immature a tad, but get him in the weight room more, work on his footing, he will be sick...I think he needs to stay one more year.

Fixed.

I could say the same of Duke (nice dig on you)

UConn is legit...Dyson and walker are the real deal...Calhoun has some major talent on that team, I think they are top 2 in Big Least.

Did those Bill Self flame outs have one of the best players in the nation with the ball in his hands....Wall, like the NBA greats wants the ball in his hands and he will take over.

Really, I do not see anything like when they played Miami....I don't see teams tourching us on the 3...our defense is much more solid.

I disagree, Patterson has added an outside game to go along with his great post moves and rebounding.

And yeah Grant will be a really good coach for Alabama, just give him a year or two

Alabama will beat the shite out of them for the first 30 seconds

I personally think they are awesome. I hope Grant can recruit, cuz he is going to need to in order to beat Kentucky in the future

Wall and Patterson. Bledsoe could have been the third guy, but he's gotten worse with Wall's emergence. The good news is he will be back next year for the Cats, but he's picking up dumb fouls and seems content to ballwatch, while Wall tries to take a guy to the basket. Actually everyone besides Patterson seems to do that, except Cousins on 3 or 4 possessions.

Duke is definitely better than UConn, at least until Majok comes in. UConn is playing 5 guys 30 minutes a game, and their bench players are miserable. Absolutely miserable (I am counting Edwards as a starter, and the guy that does the opening tip-off as a bench player--Ogawandu?), while Duke will be in much better shape than the top 20 this year.

Patterson is playing less of a role in the offense. That's not his fault though because Cal's system is different from what they ran his first two years. I'm not blaming anyone for that. It had to happen, and he is a really solid guy. I think having an intelligent and mature guy would help the team out quite a bit, but it doesn't seem like enough players are following his example. I thought that every time Orton got a call against him, he could have been T'ed up, which was very strange.

I think Calipari is relying too much on Wall, and this will negatively effect the team. I was guessing that Wall would average 14/8/3 turnovers this year and be the top pick. It looks like he may average more like 18/9/5 turnovers because he is being relied on too much. If he gets into foul trouble against a team that isn't as wasteful as UConn (they'll turn the ball over on anyone), that can put UK in a huge hole.

FWIW, Duke has looked worse than I expected as well. Smith, Scheyer, and Singler are taking 40 shots a game, while the big men are taking 10. That is a ridiculous discrepancy, and for some reasons, Singler thinks he is now Kobe Bryant and is taking it to the basket in any close situation. Of course he can't convert nearly as well as Kobe, or even a stud like Wall.

Right now, I wouldn't put either Duke or UK in the Elite 8

The reason why I put Wall as a top 2 pick is because the Nets would be dumb to take him first when they have the player in the NBA that he most resembles already playing his position.
