The frick you can't. Especially for LBs. It absolutely tells how active they are.

So you're telling me Curtis Loften was one of best LBs in the NFL in 2014? Numbers don't lie but they can be very deceiving.

Are you that dumb? Bad defenses are inherently on the field more than good defenses, that's elementary logic.

Ten 3 and outs is the same number of defensive plays as two 15 play drives resulting in touchdowns. This is why actual grading of every snap is far superior than the dumb notion of looking at tackle stats. The gap between Hightower/Mosley and Jones/Alexander is enormous.

Sure it is.

Does Amari Cooper really belong in the Pro Bowl? Sounds like sometimes it could be a popularity vote.

So, let's look at plays per game allowed by a defense:

Baltimore: 62.2
Tampa Bay: 62.8
New England: 63.3
Atlanta: 65.4

The gap isn't as wide as Bama fans want us to believe.

I can't believe people on this website actually argue about something like this

I wasn't arguing plays per game. I was arguing you just looking at a players base numbers. Once again do you think Loften was one best LBs in 2014? How about is Craig Robertson better than Hightower this year? If you were looking at just their base numbers you might say yes to both of them but it's not true.

Craig Robertson has been all over the field this year. I haven't seen a bunch of Patriots games so you tell me. Plays per game are NE-63.3 / NO-63.6 so it's not like one defense is on the field that much more. In fact, the Saints give up a ton or big plays so grinding out drives surely isn't the case.

that sounds bout like the same percentage of lsu players that come out of high school and dont live up to their potential in college.
yet Bamaites seem to spend a whole lot of their time worrying about it. Ones on this board talk about beating LSU 6 in a row more than a NC.

Pretty intriguing that with all the lsu players in the nfl that just dominate so much more than bama they seem to only land 2 on the pro bowl roster and bama lands 6? i must be missing something here.

God damn the Alabama bump is alive and well in the NFL as well, da frick?

I did tell you. Robertson is no where near as good as Hightower.

Failed humor aside, if Bama and LSU have the same number of players in the NFL, yet Bama has had the #1 recruiting class for the last 8 years, then which schools' players are living up to or exceeding their potential better?

You can look at it this way if LSU has more NFL talent then Saban is outcoaching them to win 6 in a row with inferior talent according to the NFL?

Another Bama poster making an LSU thread. Judging by your location, you're just a bandwagon fan anyway. Carry on with your LSU obsession
