Yeah because a depleted UGA team vs Vandy is so much more enthralling.

Think about it, every single game Georgia had played has gone to the end except North Texas and that was tied in the 3rd. CBS is just riding a hot hand and you don't leave the table when it's paying out so much.

Who doesn't wanna watch the Big Ten version of UGA struggle vs Vandy? Sure, Georgia fans may cringe for 60 mins but the rest of the country may get a kick out of it until the end of the game when Marshal Morgan kicks the game winner to take Georgia home victors, 63-60, and on to prepare to play BYE.

Possible offerings for the UGA/Vandy Game
- Punt Blocks
- Veteran QB going full Favre on some INTs
- Grantham may fight Franklin this year because he may no longer have the chance
- The opportunity to play Yakety Sax every time Georgia is on defense (seriously, I can only imagine it makes it that much better)
- Carta-Samuels may throw for 500 yds

What do you get for UF/Mizzou? Good football? Defense? Coaching battles? frick that, Vandy just threw a 98 yd TD to tie Georgia at 49 before halftime!

They both play a more compelling type of football then Florida does. Missouri was very entertaining, but with Franklin going down, I'm not sure what they will look like. All you need to know is that watching a Florida game makes viewers want to commit suicide. They've done studies. Grim stuff.

The people want to see just how craptacular this GA defense can be. Could be a shoot out.

You mean CBS didn't want to showcase backup quarterback fest 2013?

This game was announced on MONDAY, OCTOBER 7TH.

Sucks that people are gonna have go to ESPN3 to watch a top 25 matchup this weekend. I guess they assumed UGA would beat Mizzou last week?

where do you live that you don't get the SEC TV syndicated package?

I do agree that it was moronic for CBS to choose UGA/Vandy regardless of what happened last Saturday.

I don't either, I'd rather not watch Shitfest 2013 live from Nashville at 11 am but then at least I can watch some awesome games in downtown Nashville afterwards. This is one of those games you only go to because 1) Nashville is awesome but most importantly 2) Georgia requires our full and unimpeded devotion even if it's not that fun anymore.

Friggin Vols.

It is on the SEC network.

The SEC Network doesn't exist till next year.

What is currently called "SEC Network" is simply a local redistribution network (IE games are sold to local TV companies rather than entire networks).

That means if a local station doesn't pick it up (or you are out of market), it will be on ESPN3.

No shite. The comment was directed at the outrage which was registered today. They made the right choice then, especially in light of recent developments. How fricking difficult is this to understand? By the way, Driskell was injured before they picked the game.

I guess Mizzou has to win a national championship before we get any respect.

ESPN3? Sounds like an SEC markee matchup is virtually getting blacked out. I was looking forward to this game and Direct TV in Atlanta does not have a contract with ESPN3.

Often you can get ESPN3 from your internet provider (even if you don't have cable TV).

Game will be on ESPN2 from what I heard. Im not too offended when a game is not on the biggest market. I understand how soon these things are picked far in advance. It's not big deal. Now if this UF/Mizzou game was put on PPV then I would be pissed. But having to be on ESPN2 is meh. I still get to watch it.
