We just got our 800th win. If we win Thursday, this will be our 30th 10 win season, the bowl game will be the 58th bowl appearance, with possibly a 32nd bowl victory.

Still lots to play for

10 wns if they beat Auburn is a great season and perhaps NS best coaching job with a new defense.

Are you kidding me? Alabama could win out and it still wouldn't even come close to being the best coaching job of his career. We're stacked with offensive talent and the offense has underachieved immensely. And there's no excuse for not making any defensive adjustments on Jeffrey during the South Carolina game or letting Jordan Jefferson light us up like he did. Saban's best coaching job of his career was what he did during the 2008 season and it's not even close. That team was either mediocre or very inexperienced at every position besides the offensive line but came one quarter away from defeating a juggernaut Florida team and playing for the national championship. '99 Michigan State, '01 LSU, '03 LSU and '09 Bama were also much more impressive coaching jobs than what he's done this year.

This was incredible. How we went from 5-3 to 10-3 I have no fricking idea.

With the young team Bama has Comng back I disagree completely. Bama has easily as good of a chance as LSU to win the west except we will be better at qb and have a great running back two actually. Our Defense all return minus Baron and nearly everyone returns on offense. BaMa will win the west and I think have a good shot at a national title again.

With respect, LSU beat you this year when you had an experienced QB. Next year the shoe is on the other foot.

We'll have two SR QB's and (hopefully) the top JC QB as well. Our top RB this year out-rushed your guys, and we have a host of younger RB's who've already shown they're ready to carry the load.

Our defense will be better than yours both in the secondary and and on the DL. There's a reason LSU is at the top of the SEC in sacks and tackles for loss, and the Tide is at the bottom. And that's it. And you lose your best pass rusher to the draft.

LB's will be the wildcard, but we have the best LB coach in the conference, who is also the top DC to boot.

2011 LSU will more than likely be the hands-on favorite to win the SEC next year, and contend for a BCS title.

I wasn't aware that a win over Georgia State counted as two in the "W" column.

Alabama is 8-2 right now.

By defeating at least 9 team on the field and a likely forfeiture - if necessary - for the 10th.

Would you trade JJ for McCarron or Sims?

Both teams lose important players. Arkansas will come back down a bit, even if their backup was able to throw a couple of touchdowns against Aubie.

Key players will be gone for both Bama and LSU. LSU still has quarterback issues. Bama might have a better quarterback, even if he hasn't played, but who really knows as there could be a considerable dropoff. Further, LSU loses some studs in the middle. Not as worried losing Peterson just because we have a lot of quality depth at corner. But losing Nevis and Sheppard will be really tough to replace. I love Baker and he's as productive as we have on defense, but we'll still lose something without our defensive leaders in those three guys.

But we have a lot of young talent along the line and some good depth. Need someone to step up at DT. Hopefully Montgomery comes back as he was our best DE before going out and he's only a frosh.

Still have all our playmakers on offense for the most part.

I think LSU has a chance to be very good, just need to figure out the most important position on the field, quarterback.

Not a bad season, but I expect to be back in the ATL in 2011.

It wouldn't shock me but we will also be loaded next year. I know our QB's aren't the best but they seem to be protecting the ball lately. It's a sign of maturity. I think we can compete with almost anyone on any given Saturday. No doubt the SEC will be decided in Tuscy next year. It will be a war, just like this year

Call me crazy but I think Wilson will be more consistant than Mallett. Maybe not the same arm but he will still put up some of the best numbers in the conference. JMO

I think Arkansas will have a lot to say about the SEC west next year. Tyler Wilson has already proven himelf in SEC play very well. By the end of 2011, Arkansas and Alabama will have the best two QBs.
