So are we *really* supposed to pretend Meyer didn't lie about why he quit?

In case you're wondering, Urban Meyer's wife and children have to taken to social media to express their outrage at this sign...
[Please note that although Auburn coach Gus Malzahn lost in Baton Rouge, the sign appeared in Tuscaloosa]
I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there who, like me, failed to get the memo to pretend to believe the story of Meyer's "heart attack".
Shelley Meyer
Gigi Meyer
I must have have been golfing when that memo came. I swear I never saw it!

His family has to pretend is true, nobody else does, even ESPN personalities take subtle jabs at him from time to time

I think their feigned outrage shows exactly how feigned his health problems were (at least as a motivating reason for leaving).

Well, I believe him

Larry the Golfer? I didn't know people still read threads by him?
Oh well...

I just cannot see anyone fabricating that and going to such great lengths to quit.

His wife did call 9-1-1, there's a freaking public record of it. I hate what the guy did, and clearly after the Atkins tragedy he became too forgiving on discipline issues but when his wife was calling it's pretty clear she thought he might be dying.

As elaborate as that sounds, its still easier than admitting that he ran a top tier program into the ground and couldn't handle the pressure anymore.

he went from having a career ending injury to coaching at Ohio State in a year while the roster he built at Florida crumbled.
Dude bitched out

This. It's not like Meyer isn't creative at hiding the truth. Hell, Hernandez had in the NFL for a year before we found out about his off field activities.

Didn't he get caught banging a 23 yr old intern? That makes more sense than a heart attack.

Career ending injury
Now that's some dumb shite to say
He thought he was having a heart attack and re-evaluated his life priorities
I have an extremely high pressure career with extremely high stakes, and I have done something similar
Perhaps this is beyond the comprehension of many. I guess it's just easier to attack someone
