There is probably room for flak about both.

I thought the President said this was an academic issue, not an athletic decision.

I just don't really understand why they took this risk and PR hit for a guy at a position where we are deep and young.

Just doesn't make sense to me.

The kid is now facing a more strict regimen than if he were in prison

Community service at a battered women's shelter
Attending an accountability partner on the team
Attending anger management courses weekly
Strict regiment of class and study attendance

One slip up and he's gone

From what his coach said: LINK

quote:

"There are a lot of other schools that were recruiting him and would have admitted him," Stephens said. "Most of the schools in the Southeast were recruiting him."

Looks like most (I guess with the exception of Georgia) were going to take the kid if he chose them.

Also, and I asked this earlier: Is this guy an all-world NFL-ready Suh type DLineman for everyone to be wanting him?

Hey if he acts that way here, Coach Saban will turn his daughter on him. She can land quite a punch of her own.

Beat his gf in the face and body and then strangled her. He weighed twice as much as her 340-170. But he needs a second chance... To show all of those kids out there it's alright to beat your gf as long as you're pretty good at sports.

And we are taking flak for chad Kelly?

His girlfriend was 170? I'm just saying.
