Bert didn't recruit at an elite level to rebuild his roster. He also inherited a roster that was a year removed from a 10-2 season.

How quickly we forget that Auburn beat LSU earlier in the year.

More like quickly remembering how it was a fluke lost and restoring order by 20 so...

Have you seen Auburn's roster?

Bruce Pearl is obviously rebuilding right now, bro, and we also have some injuries hurting the team.

UTk's was pretty much awful to most observers.

Lofton was a stout shooter, but the rest of the roster was poo. . .and little.

Pearl focused on conditioning, and strategized that since he couldn't beat teams in a half-court. . .they were going to run run run.

Huh, he's doing an awful lot around campus and Auburn to peak interest if his heart isn't into it.

Let's be honest here, I am no huge NCAA basketball fan,

It shows, a great coach can't turn shite talent into wins. Wait til he gets a recruiting class or two.

Kinda wondering now if he just fell into a great sitch there.

Think you underestimate Auburn's ability to make terrible coaches out of decent ones in basketball.

Pearl's fine, team playing about as well as could be expected. Got a few decent wins, but we're just so short on personnel. A CBB program can be overhauled dramatically in a season, which is rare in other sports (2013 AU football aside).

I can promise you that Tennessee's roster was never as bad as what he inherited at Auburn.

Well, they are 2 different sports, but whatever. Maybe we can compare their first recruiting classes. Plus Pearl actually won a couple of SEC games his first season.

Is there a goal post in basketball? I'm sorry you hired a lemon in football.

Bert first 15 games: 0-15, 1 recruiting class
Bruce first 15 games: 4-11, 0 recruiting classes

Aren't you like the 2nd smallest team in the NCAA as well? Not the SEC but the NCAA.

I had read that. We definitely look like that's the case.

Pearl is going to take some chances on some guys that will be borderline qualifiers, transfer, etc. But give him a couple years and he's going to have a solid squad. It'll certainly be better than what he inherited.

I think so too. We have a nice class coming in and I wouldn't be surprised if we take another 5th year senior to fill a gap in the roster.

The roster that he inherited was so bad that it will take another year or two to fix.

Remember when Arkansas was more talented than Auburn preseason of 2013?

I do.
