Everyone talks about games like:

LSU vs Bama
TN vs UF
UGA vs Auburn
Auburn vs LSU

But there are several games this year that are flying under the radar, and could be classics. I picked five games that no one is talking about.

1) Tennessee vs Kentucky
The Vols could very easily lose this game and that would be the death nail for Lyle. I expect Tennessee to win in a close game but it won't be easy.

2) Auburn vs Mississippi State
I expect both teams to be much improved this year and this should be a fun one to watch. Jarrett Stidham and Nick Fitzgerald are imo the best QB's in the conference.

3) UGA vs Vandy
Vandy got the best of Georgia last year and get them at home this year. IMO Georgia is overrated and Vandy should have a decent team. The Dawgs better be careful in this one.

4) Arkansas vs USC
The hogs better be careful going to Columbia in week 6. Jake Bentley is a solid young QB and the Gamecocks defense will be better in 2017.

5)LSU vs Ole Miss
LSU is the better team in this game but this will be the Rebels Super Bowl. This is also a rivalry game and funny things can happen.

I'm not sure we're good enough to need to be careful.

But who knows.

South Carolina vs. Tennessee

Those games have been very close the last 5 years or so and I don't see this one being any different.

I agree, should be a close one.

Have you seen what Lyle has done to Stoops the last 4 years?

This is the best team that Stoops has fielded plus it's an away game.

I'll throw in Florida-Vandy as well.

It probably won't be a "good game" but rather a competitive, low-scoring one. The scores of the last two meetings were 9-7 and 13-6.

eta: I'm not buying UK beating UT this year either. If there's one game where Butch has his team ready to play its best game of the year, it's that one.

Maybe they can keep it within 20 this year.

I agree that it would be the nail in the coffin for him. Vandy could do the same.

No one expects him to beat Muschamp though .

I agree, there really isn't much separation in the East like in the West. Almost every game between East teams should be competitive.

Miss State @ GA will be a good one also. Fitz going back to his home state, kinda like Dak going back to LSU. You know what happens next.

Don't overlook UK this year or do so at your own peril. I think UF could get upset in Lexvegas this year and if not...it will be close.

I think UK has the chanced to knock off two of UGA, UT, UF and maybe USC.

I like this, very astute.
I did laugh at your last line though for LSU being ole miss super bowl. Wasn't there a quote about every game being their Super Bowl?

Let's see:

1. The 2015 recruiting class, who are juniors this year, were ranked 13th in the SEC.
2. The class of 2014, who are seniors this year, were ranked 10th in the SEC.
3. Their coach has lost by an average of over 20 points to Lyle Allen Jones.

I will continue to overlook them.

Florida @ USC

You know Muschamp wants to win that badly. We are on a brutal stretch, then go to Missouri, then USCe. That game will be scary close.

This is another good one. I think the gators win but should be a good game.

Try the last 17 or so.
