I don't think MSU should be penalized for using what all know is their mating call. It is part of their circle of life...

Actually State fans this probably has nothing to do with the cowbells. State took their information about Cam to Slive and he did nothing.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the student section, which you are too old to be sitting in, right?
Until the day that you don't allow your students to get drunk before the games, there's gonna be a bunch of them breaking the rule

When were we allowed to ring our cowbells during stoppages of play? Sure in the beginning of the season the rules werent followed 100% but it should have been assumed that there was going to be a learning curve. I think the school followed the rules to the letter. What is Slive talking about? I really hate this man.
State just needs to trade the effin bells for dog whistles.

Don't worry. They will fine us something. At least we will be getting our punishment out of the way now, unlike y'all.

I'm not sure. I guess we'll know in a couple years or so.

was at that game as well. The state fans did an amazing job that day of not ringing. Dan Mullen gave a speach before the game.
While idk about "amazing" the state fans did a good job through most of the game I was just pointing put that the lady 3 minutes or so the bells were ringing
FWIW I was in the student section

I know the game was close but I think by that time the outcome of the game was pretty much secured. And that is when you will hear the most bells. And it has mostly been like that for years on the rare occasion that we won.

which is it?
I think there is a distinction between the school and the fans. I was saying that the school enforced the rules to the letter but it took the fans a little while to follow them.

So raise ticket prices to offset the morons in your fanbase.

How exactly does the school enforce the rule? By putting "please ring responsibly" on the jumbotron?
If that's the case then of course the school enforced the rule, but if the school hadn't put that on the jumbotron y'all wouldn't have gotten fined, you get fined because of fans ringing cowbells at the wrong time.

they are an unfair noise advantage. period. they are distracting and I'm sure they have at least made AN affect on a number of games. that alone gives your fans a bs advantage! damnit.
please show me some proof of this. I cant recall any game inthe past 4 years where they gave us an advantage. Remember they are no louder than the fans at yalls stadium.

why hold some country bumpkin arse cowbells up high? they're embarrassing.
I would rather see cowbells then some ghey pom poms at BDS.
