didn't saban just say that sec schools should look at what's best for the SEC and not look at the situation through a straw as it pertains to your school?

What's best for the SEC is balanced scheduling.

That's the situation that played out in '12.

I don't know a single LSU fan that thinks gators will escape tiger stadium with a "W".

If LSU is suppose to have more talent, why does every poll that's come out so far have gators ranked ahead of LSU?

bamatab, you can keep your "rivalry" game with the Vols. Same with aubbie & Ga.I could care less. But don't make the rest of the conference keep such an unbalanced schedule because of it. As of now, 4 teams are dictating to the other ten teams what games are played when just so they get to play THEIR games every yr.

We don't really hear much from Tenn fans about this,

I have said over and over again that I do not want Tennessee and Alabama to stop playing. Just because Alabama has been a clear L on our schedule since 2008 does not mean the rivalry doesn't count for anything anymore.

Do you think 10 other teams in the conference should be forced to play socalled rivalry games just so ut/bama and ua/uga get their game?

I don't care what they do. I also don't think it's right that we should give up a game that's so precious so that LSU doesn't have to play Florida every year.

Not really.

Last yr's vote:

Ummm...no they aren't. You might want to go back and see who all voted to keep the cross-divisional games. Besides Bama, UT, AU, & UGA; OM, Vandy, MSU, UK, Arky, Mizzou, & UF all voted for it and want to keep them. There are only 3 teams that are trying to dictate to the other teams to do away with them.

Come on. Keep up.

Thanks to the SEC meeting in Destin, Florida, Bama keeps getting Tennessee Cupcakes while TAM gets USC and LSU gets Florida.

That kind of competitive advantage is what Alabama Football Dynasties are made of--

I believe Saban was the only coach to vote in favor of a nine game format.

If they agree to do it, then sure. If they don't, then have them do something else. But College Football is great because of rivalries and traditions, we're not gonna throw that away because our rival is bad right now while we're head and shoulders above the rest of the nation.

TAM gets USC

LOL, USC is historically one of the worst teams in the SEC, they'll be back in the lower half of the east in a few years when the ole ball coach decides to take up golf full time. A few good seasons doesn't mean they some sort of elite program. TAM for the most part isn't either but they IMO have potential to be an elite program and will greatly benefit from having the coxks as their eastern permanent. UT is and will always be a better program than USCe and in a year or so UT will be right back near the top of the east. To think otherwise is shortsighted

Having a Tennessee Cupcake up your sleeve, Saban's vote is a lot easier than having a Florida Dagger or Seminole and LSU Daggers at your throat every year like Miles and Muschamp have.

With LSU and Florida St. on Muschamp's schedule every year, he could find Bama and TAM added to his already crowed schedule some years.

This year Les Miles has Florida and Georgia, and with a 9 game schedule, USC could also make it on LSU's schedule some years.

As long as the 6-1-1 is in effect, neither Florida nor LSU could possibly vote for a 9 game schedule.

Saban would have to give up his annual cupcake party before the SEC goes to 9 games.
