Bayless, Cowherd, Klatt and Travis. That's gonna be painful to watch.

Not for me. I'm not even sure what channel Fox Sports is on my cable and I have no plans to learn.

I get all of breaking sports' news I need right here. I never watch those shows. They mostly talk pro stuff and I don't care about pro stuff.

They'll just find some other retarded white guy to be the foil to Stephen A's "street-wise" persona.

ESPN budget cuts must be taking their toll, in the last year they've lost Simmons, Cowherd, Bayless and Tirico. Plus we are hearing rumors about Nessler leaving.

Not sure that budget cuts effected Tirico and Simmons. I'm not sure there's an amount of money they could have offered Simmons to make him be interested in staying. He needed a platform that would best allow him to provide in-depth content beyond sports. ESPN censoring his comments about Goodell was the last straw I imagine.

I don't know how much Cowherd or Bayless made but I can't imagine that either were carrying their weight. I like that ESPN is getting away from a lot of their hot-take personalities.

unless ESPN plans on changing their platform (doubtful), they're going to continue to have hot take personalities, just different people. We're just going to have a new crop of people that are annoying

IF ESPN was smart they would bring back Bill Simmons. I don't think losing Skip is a big deal. He's just annoying. I think you can put a lot of people in the chair for First Take and it will work just because guys want to get caught up on Sports News early the next morning. I liked it when it was Woody Paige but I can't stand Skip or Stephen A.

ESPN has lost Colin Cowherd, Bill Simmons, and Skip Bayless. Now they're about to lose Mike Tirico and Brad Nessler. That company is losing ground by the month.

I like Skip Bayless. Through the course of being on First Take he has mellowed out so much. His biggest problem is that he is such an extreme homer for his favorite teams and reporting and discussing sports with an agenda is a problem.

I like Steven A some as well. He's a sharp witted guy that makes complete sense most of the time. I just can't stand what a loud mouth and bragger he can be at times.

Skip moves the needle. Simmons doesn't. I prefer the latter, but if ESPN is suddenly going to be rich content driven network, it'll be a total overhaul of corporate culture.

This isn't some smart move by ESPN, this is ESPN paying the price of shitty content for a decade.

I love skip. A lot of people only see him and Stephen A. when someone posts a short clip of first take and they see the 2 of them acting like clowns so they assume they're both morons. First Take isn't supposed to be a source of breaking news or sophisticated insight into sports. It's an entertainment program. Skip and Stephen A ham up their personas and it's actually a pretty good show if you watch it for an extended period of time. They have certain players and teams that they're known for hating or loving and it's always fun when a story breaks about that team/player because you know they're going to spend 30 minutes blowing it out of proportion. It's like they're playing characters. Haters gonna hate but I'm sad to see skip go

Believe it or not, ESPN hasn't been doing so awesome financially, and has been cutting costs.

Pretty much all their "talent" with a high paying contract is going away.

They are bringing in a bunch of low paid nobodies to replace them.

Nobody gives a shite about the announcers or pundits anyway.

It's a done deal. Nessler is leaving Espn to replace Verne when he retires. Can't wait
