We have almost always had tickets right next to the visiting section in Williams-Brice. Section 14. Visiting sections I believe are 15-17. If given the choice, would you want to sit next to or near the opposing fans?

I always felt it made the experience better. Though at times it can suck. Taunting is always happening. Which can be fun or suck arse, depending on who is winning. At least with SEC games anyways, except Vandy. The back and forth is usually light hearted, except for the drunks. Guilty.

One drawback though is if the other team brings their band. Even a smaller band can drown out your own, if the bands are on opposite sides of the stadium. And the walk of shame when your team loses a big game and you have to walk down the stairs next to the opposing fans going nuts and taunting.

Even those cons can be memorable though.

tl;dr: would you want to sit near the opposing fans? If you do or have before, what are your thoughts?

Depends on what fan base it is. For example, I like Auburn's band and find their fans good company. On the other hand, I don't mind Florida fans, but I don't want their horrible band blaring into my ears after a big play (though those might not be coming anytime soon).

I guess I'm apathetic towards the topic. I love road games, so overall it doesn't bother me either way.

I've literally straddled the middle of the Florida-Georgia games crowd split. There wasn't even a set of stairs seperating the sections. Very memorable

College fans are okay... I absolutely HATE sitting anywhere near Atlanta Falcons fans at Saints games though.

If I'm at home, I don't want to be near visiting fans.

On the road, I don't care who I sit near.

Hell no.

Have fun dealing with the obnoxious LSU fans this year though

Depending on how good we are, often times I will attempt to sit in the middle of other team's sections when I'm in away stadiums.

When SCAR came to town this past year I REALLY enjoyed them. They had tailgate tents every where and we actually partied with them all night after the game. One of my favorite games of the year.

Hope to make it to Williams-Brice when my college days are over!

For some reason, I usually end up in the Tennessee fan section whenever we go to Knoxville.

Regardless of how they may act on the Rant at times, Tennessee fans are much nicer in person.

I sit directly above the visitors in the lower bowl in Tiger Stadium...they're real quick to turn around and taunt us when ahead.

Ole Miss last year comes to mind.

I don't taunt and treat visiting fans like guests in my home. I don't get the verbal abuse thing retards feel they must do.

I enjoy sitting around the visitors.

Only a few fanbases are guilty of this.

You must be deaf or have a sick perversion to Rocky Top.

Either way you should seek medical help immediately.
