Golf ties through junior golf, college golf, etc for each state:
Alabama: Jerry Pate, Stewart Cink, Jason Dufner, Graeme McDowell, John Huston, Carl Petterson, Boo Weekley, Jason Bohn, Steve Lowery, Michael Thompson, Bud Cauley, etc
Tennessee: Brandt Snedeker, Scott Stallings, Shaun Micheel, Eric Axley, ?
Advantage "poors"

Where would Bama Gymnastics fit in?

Very good but nowhere close to the golf team this year. The gymnastics team isn't even the favorite to win the national title this year although they did just win the SEC title.

UGA in Tennis and women's swimming and diving is awesome. May not be most dominant, but probably most deserving from UGA.

Arky track and field did cross my mind.
If you're talking just SEC competition then its our track program and it isn't even close. We've won 58 of the 67 SEC Championships that have taken place between Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track since we joined in '92.
That time frame also includes 27 National Championships and 5 Triple Crowns.

I'm not talking about programs. I'm talking about CURRENT teams. Alabama's golf team has beaten over 98% of it's opponents THIS season.

If you're talking about current teams THIS SEASON, Florida went undefeated in conference play clear through the SEC Tournament.

Florida basketball is the closest.

Then the only answer is UF bball. They won 100% and this thread is over.

How so? Undefeated in conference play (post-season included) > "Lost to Georgia today"
Posted on 3/23/14 at 11:12 pm to parkjas2001
Actually Florida has lost 2 games this season against approximately 36 opponents. Alabama golf has lost to 2 out of the roughly 80 opponents it has faced this year.

Lsu sand volleyball team. Undefeated in sec play. Plus we as fans all win
Posted on 3/23/14 at 11:56 pm to Govt Tide
"Approximately"
The answer is Florida basketball. After all, being undefeated in the SEC is approximately better than not being undefeated in SEC play.

They lost to an SEC team (Georgia)
That's right
Do we still have the #1 golfer (Joey Garber)? Or did he drop in rankings...
Michael Cromie (UGA) won overall over the weekend, so he should be seeing a jump in individual rankings as well.
