Since Freeze learned his tricks under Coach O, should LSU be worried?

I would think so. With the recruiting "fence" down in Louisiana, he will be desperate to mend it. Probably leading him to use old tactics.

Probably, but our compliance department and program knows how to cheat, unlike Ole Miss'.

We'll be ok if O stays in the guardrails of cheating.

So it will take illegal action to rebuild the fence, but no illegal action was taken to tear it down.

Gotcha.

The talent in the state of LA is down in this recruiting cycle. There may be 2-4 kids who get Bama offers. LSU will keep most of their in-state talent this year and will say "the fence is up! coach O ain't effing around!". Then their state will have more desirable talent in 2019 and we'll raid them. again.

Signing 5 Star athletes at LSU doesn't stick out like a sore thumb...like it does at some other places.

That's not true at all. The talent level this cycle is much higher than the 2017 class. Nice try tho

This is actually bullshite.

It's better this 2018 than it was in 2017. 2017 was the worst year in a long time. (note: Dylan Moses didn't count as LA recruit on the services)

We had 0 5*'s and I don't think any top 3 players at any positions besides Shelvin.

The state of LA has TWO top 100 players on the 247 Composite in 2018 (at the moment, obviously that can change). They had FOUR top 100 players in the 247 Composite in 2017.

You may be deeper in the 101 - 247 range (I'm not looking it up), but you aren't as talented at the TOP end of the class, which is where Bama has raided you for years.

There is less top end talent (top 100 players in the country) from LA in 2018 (2) than there was from LA in 2017 (4).

Again, you may have more players ranked 101-247 in your state this year compared to last (I honestly don't know), but the fact that you have fewer ranked in the top 100 isn't debatable.

Bama should be worried. Coach O knows how to do it better and without getting caught.

So why was he never able to win more than 4 games in a season when he was at Ole Miss?

The poster said O was better at cheating than Freeze was, which is likely true, but Ed got a total of two 5* players to commit to Ole Miss and he only won 10 games in 3 seasons. Freeze got total of three 5* players to Ole Miss and won more than Ed could at the same school.

Ed has the better job right now, but Hugh Freeze is a better coach.

They keep some gumps alive, though, so there is that.
