LSU would fire Miles for what BMFP did.
You are probably right. There are other coaches in the country better than him. He is replaceable.

If you really want an answer, had Nick Saban found himself in the same situation the media would be camped out in T-Town three weeks (Penn State style)and the story would be 20 times bigger

I guess the scathing SI issue on Mike Price and the "culture" at Alabama has long since been forgotten by some SEC foes. The media raked us over the coals.

I see Capstone hasn't missed a beat. Can't equate a coach that hasn't won a game with one that brought you back into national prominence.

Only Saban is the proper Bama comparison. REC woulda buried it for sure.

I hate Bama as much as the next person, but no coach would get away with this. Well, unless Craig James ever becomes a coach. Dude killed 5 hookers (allegedly) and didn't miss a beat.

I'm trying to place both in the proper context. Why is it easier to fire Mike Price, when he never coached a game, than firing Bobby Petrino? I think you're forgetting Alabama's other issues at that time. That was just another setback for Alabama. We were less than a year removed from serious NCAA sanctions, and were firing a veteran head coach. We were reduced to replacing him with washed out NFL assistants and former players with limited experience. The situation at Alabama in 2003, and the one currently going on at Arkansas aren't really that different in the end.

If it could be buried.

If not, Saban would be fired if he did what Petrino did. Anyone denying that is a fricking idiot.

Our situation was likely more dire in that our program was in tatters. Whoever is hired at Pigland has everything in place to succeed.

Which was entirely my point, but Arkansas fans will still accuse me of trying to downplay anything Hog related. Alabama had a laundry list of issues going on and still fired a new head coach. Arkansas was having its most successful run since the 1970s, and still fired its coach. Very similar impact in both cases, for very different reasons.

Name me a university, any university, that would keep a coach who opened them up to 150 possible lawsuits by the people who didn't get a job because the coach hired his frick buddy?

I'll hang up and listen.

Price's career post stripper is not indictive of the coach he was at Washington State,if we grade Petrino with a 95 as a coach, the incoming Price would have got an 89

Yes, Bama and LSU would be able to attract a great coach

Arky, however, will return to mediocrity
