Based on what others have said, he's really poor. Threatening to prosecute him now MIGHT get you a dime bag or two.
There's a far better route. Dude's a 5*, so you play the long game. Don't prosecute. Don't even HINT at prosecuting. Don't do one thing that's going to keep him from developing into a stud NFL project then file a civil complaint on the day before the statute of limitations hits (2 years in Alabama, not sure in his state).
By that time he'll understand what he has to lose and do anything possible to keep it quiet - including a bit of cash up front and a delayed payout from any potential NFL money.
