Maybe you need to go back to those Alabama boards that spawned you; this is an LSU board last time I looked.

You knew it was coming guys. The media darling lost so they have to get their licks in. Don't let it spoil the moment.

First of all, McCoy did not get hurt on 3rd down. Gilbert led them to 1st and goal at the one, and that would have been 7 with Colt, and probably 7 more after kickoff frickup by Bama

Ok. And if Hightower isn't hurt and Ro isn't sick and taking IV's before, during and after the game, they would have done a better job on defense. And if Ingram hadn't been cramping up, we'd have continued to dominate in the 3rd quarter. And if we hadn't turned the ball over, Tx doesn't get that 1st FG. BlahBlahBlah

Struggling with this one... Alabama was favored by most everyone and widely praised as the better team entering the game.

Most commentators entering the game talked about all the things Texas would have to do right to have a chance

Love all those holding penalties bama's offensive line had this year.

It's 'bama's ongoing battle with reality. I thought that Musberger was going for a late night threeway with Ingram and his jailbird dad. We heard about McElroy's winning streak over and over and over. 'bama's blaintant fouls were dismissed with, "Usually that would be interference."

Yet 'bammers think everyone is against them.

If injuries put asterisks on wins, EVERY game played will have an asterisk, let alone the championship game. Ridiculous argument! The only asterisk there should be is right next to the sports writer's name for being retarded (and still managing to publish his crap!)

Let's try playing the game...what happened to the great McCoy against Nebraska where they had a total of 202 yards?

I'd say Gilbert did a better job throwing for 186 yards, 2 TDs and 4 interceptions against Bama compared to McCoy's 184 yards, ZERO TDs and 3 interceptions.

If Texas was supposed to be an one man army, why did the media chatter about their #1 rush defense allowing only 62.15 yards per game? Why not talk about the vaunted defense allowing not one, but two 100 yard rushers? Looks to be like they got beat in their own game.

End of the day, a win is a win is a win and I have no clue why writers have to stir up the pot all the time and not let the kids who played the game enjoy the win.

They make it sound like Colt twisted a knee during warmups or something. He was knocked out of the game by an Alabama defender, who also happened to bust up a stupid play call by Texas that resulted in him scoring a TD right before the half. Sounds like football.

Writers have to write about the game. What do you think would be the biggest story out of that game? Saban calling the dumbest fake punt ever? 'bama fielding a kick by running around the ball in circles until Texas jumped on the ball? The Tide's awesome stats against a high school quarterback?

THE story of the game is McCoy's injury. Would've been nice if the high point was 'bama's awesome play, but that didn't happen.

Then 80% of the ESPN crew picked Texas to win...interesting disconnect isn't it?

They created the bullshite overmatched story to add some drama. They've done it damn near every BCS championship game and the "underdog" has won 6 of those. Don't believe the hype. Understand how television works.

Yeah Alabama wasn't that deserving, but cmon it's TEXAS, they shouldn't have base their offense so much on one player.

Ahem...isn't Bama winning the biggest prize in college football THE story of the game or season?

If Bama fans understood how television works then why would they call Texas media darlings when the opposite is largely the case?

For that matter if they understood how television worked whey would they wear "moo moo's" and allow themselves to be photographed asking Saban to autograph their babies?

It was a clean badass hit perped by a badass defense.....it's part of the game. Not a fluke, rather Colt has a glass jaw/shoulder and Bama capitolized (unintentionally).
