SIAP: State/Muffin plays/coaches scared against ranked teams.

The 3 times this year that State has played a team who was ranked at the time of the game, State lost.
LSU was ranked 14th.
aTm was ranked 14th.
Bama was ranked 2nd.
They came out each time and played like pussies and lost.
Reason being Muffin coaches like a pussy against teams who he perceives to have a pulse.
I expect a comfortable, albeit rare, win in Starkville for the Rebels this weekend.

I actually kinda agree with you. Mullen just believes he has to outsmart every coach to win a game and he usually shits the bed trying to be the "smarter" coach. He'd be much better off just playing our game.

Excellent analysis. Mullen has a well noted career of winning games he's supposed to and losing games he's supposed to. Throw out last year and the only SEC game he has ever won when the underdog was 2009 Ole Miss.

What if Alabama beats Auburn as expected. It will be well known around the stadium before kickoff. Will the Ole Miss team, full of prima donnas from Florida, Georgia and Illinois with no real care about winning the Egg lack motivation?

Our players won't know the outcome of the Alabama/Auburn game till after the egg bowl as Freeze will have out players listening to noise cancelling Beats by Dre all game long. (Paid for exclusively by #TheNetwork)

It will be announced on the PA and be scrolling through the scores on the ribbon boards. There's no way they will not know. This isn't the 80s where you can hide that sort of thing.

Ole Miss never had a MNC window and never will. We're cool winning some games every now and then.

In all seriousness, I think it could be a factor both ways. But if Auburn somehow beat Alabama, you'd have to face State and the REC refs. That and the road team jinx gives me hope that we can win this.

In being honest to your question
The majority of the CFB world expects Alabama to beat Auburn and I think that includes our players and assuming that happens then I think we would actually play better than if Auburn pulls off the stunner against Alabama because that would put shite ton more pressure on us as we would be fighting for a chance to go to the SECCG instead of just fighting for another bowl game. Though I think you could also argue that if Auburn wins then we would play a lot better as we have a lot more to fight for. Either way I think we're going to go down to State and lose.

This is true, but Hugh tends to shite the bed against teams he is favored against so this is a wash at best.
If Auburn beats Bama then OM will come out fired up since they'll control their own destiny.
If Bama wins like they should I think it'll take the air of them and State will win. If I was Hugh Freeze I would keep my team in the locker room and take up all forms of communication from the players so they don't find out the outcome of the Iron Bowl prior to playing the Egg Bowl.

Won't matter. Here is my gods honest reasoning.
We are Ole Miss. Our seasons aren't make or break based on making to it Atl. If it was Bama or LSU in our exact shoes yes they would play down and prolly not give a shite. But that's not us. We will still be motivated to go and beat Mullens and beat Rayne in his last home game and end the season 9-3 with a chance at a 10 win season.
But please go ahead and mark this down as one of the reason as to why y'all will beat us

If Alabama loses, we will shite the bed and get murdered. We play well as the hunters and poorly as the hunted. It's because of a lack of winning pedigree like an Ohio State, Oklahoma or USC. Oh, and WAOM.
