The article says LSU took it also.
Weird that you would just ignore that
All I see is that LSU used the chips which aren't banned. The deer antler spray is the banned substance and that's what Bama used in addition to the chips.

quote:Actually AU's compliance guy, being diligent as ever walked into the football complex and saw several players in possession of the "bands". They asked the guys WTF they came from and found out the Jake Hollands dad had purchased a handful of them for Jake to disburse to the defensive players. AU compliance went even futher and visited the SWAT shop in B'ham/Fultondale and got a copy of the receipt were Holland had purchase them. AU went on to educate their players on the bullshite bands/chips and banned them from the players.
So for Auburn, was it all a hoax or did the player/players really take whatever this is?

BTW, MLB has put deer-antler spray on the banned substance list, but only a year or so ago.
They say it MAY convert to IGF-1.
However, it may not or it may not be very bio-available (meaning not enough conversion or receptor site binding) to cause any actual increase in IGF-1.
Furthermore, the companies that market it have no fricking clue and the concentrations used in the products marketed I would bet with 98% confidence are not of a pharma grade concentrate that would do anything whatsoever.

Yea I know but I still would like to burst their little bubble that the LSU players did anything more than the stickers.
I am sure the NCAA could give a shite about the holograms. It's the banned substance that they will go in dry on.
No where in the article did it state that LSU used it but said very clearly that Bama players are on video using it.

Well, IF they really took this deer antler stuff, it makes you wonder what else they are willing to take. Not pointing fingers just at Bama. Just saying something I have long felt...the NCAA testing procedures for banned substances are a joke.
