But his HC gets a lot of credit for the years he's a DC. Or else we're giving Auburn's DC in 2010 credit for part of Chizik winning the NC.

This is fricking stupid.

His 04 defense at Auburn is one of the best defenses Auburn and the SEC have ever seen. In comparison, our 2010 defenses usually were what caused us to almost lose

Chizik is going down in the history books with the likes of Larry Coker as worst coaches to ever win a title.

I would rather be Gene Chizik and have a crystal ball than Mark Richt and have nothing

Dumb question is dumb. Chizik brought Auburn a Heisman winner and a BCS championship. Mike Shula lost to Auburn 5 straight times and merely served as a interim while Alabama weathered probation and sanctions.

Absolute truth.

Do what?

He's probably talking about textbookgate. It was discovered and the sanctions came down in Saban's first season, but it all started and the bulk happened under Shula.

That's easy. They both ran their teams into the ground but Chizik won a national championship before running it into the ground, Shula didnt do shite.

I don't think it is far to say that Shula ran the program into the ground. Alabama was in an awful place during his tenure, but most of it wasn't his fault. As a caretaker coach, he did a respectable job under tough circumstances. He just wasn't good enough to ever be more than that caretaker.

Chizik was a bad coach on the field, but he brought in the talent that made 2010 possible..

This is actually not true. Chizik was actually a great game day coach. His issues were in the development area.

I would take him on game day anytime.

Shula meant more to Bama. Left a good foundation for Saban to build on. Chiz left Auburn in shambles, and a cloud of controversy.

And, Shula's responsible for the 2009 title. He drove the 1985 team miraculously down to get in field goal range, giving Van Tiffin the chance to make a game winning kick, thusly getting Van laid for the heroic kick, thusly being responsible for Lee Tiffin's birth, thusly being responsible for the five field goals Alabama needed in 2009 to defeat Tennessee, thusly being responsible for their 2009 campaign to stay intact so the team could win it's first championship in almost 20 years.

(Starts off soft)
shula, shula, Shula Shula, SHULA- SHULA-SHULA...

And then I read this. This is some of the greatest shite ever. I apologize. Set, match, game.
