I didn't get to post yesterday, had to make an emergency trip to see my brother in the hospital in Florida, so I didn't get to watch the game or participate in the game thread.
In the UK/MSU thread last week, some MSU posters predicted a blowout, and I kept commenting on why were they so confident, because it didn't seem like it was even a possibility from looking at the 2 teams seasons so far.
Well, I was wrong. UK extended their bye week by another 7 days and didn't seem to be eager to play a game on Saturday night, and MSU crushed their souls pretty early in the game, then won with little resistance.
I'm just here to eat crow and say "well done MSU, well done".

Should have been closer but GG to State
Cats did not show up to play, State made them pay.

I'll admit I wasn't expecting that type of game. I thought it would have been closer but everything went our way.
I think the Cats can still beat UT, Vandy, and ole miss now without Shea.

Hail State
I can see this team making the top 25 this year
just have to beat Aggie...

I don't know what you saw, but I actually expected something like this. There is a reason Vegas made State 13.5 point favorites. Kentucky hasn't impressed me at all this year. None. Zero. I watched all if not most of the USM. EKU, and EMU games, and a little of Missouri and Florida. Your fans say UK plays down to their opponent. Maybe they just aren't that good? All that being said I hope y'all run the table and prove me wrong.

Thank you sir.
Now, to show that State fans aren't overly confident, I will be the first to say that we will ride into College Station, staring at the possibility of a 9 win regular season, play a mediocre aggie team, and promptly crap the bed. It's what we do. But I'm hoping for the best.

would make me smile
y'all need to put the same type of beatdown on Arkansas
do that and beat Aggie (or even lose a tight one) and stay competitive with Bama for 3 quarters and I see y'all in a decent Florida bowl or maybe even the Cotton

Yea wtf Cats? I was expecting a much better showing than that last night. State totally abused y'all on both sides of the ball. I wonder if all that "blue on blue" basketball hype on y'all's campus has some deflating impact on the football team? Regardless, that was a sad state of affairs last night. Congrats to State on that dominating performance.

I said before the season that State could be a 9-3 or 10-2 team. State could won that many last year if the had a good defense. This year, they got a good defense. I said good not great.

I told MSU fans they were dumb for expecting to dominate. I was certain that Kentucky would make it a game and I predicted a 27-21 UK win.
I'm surprised MSU fans let me off the hook as easily as they did

You manned up and admitted your mistake. Enough said.

We all knew that you was speaking out of the side of your neck.

in the game thread you already called yourself idiot. No sense in repeating what is already known.

I still maintain that it wasn't because they beat us
It's more that they're the team I root for if we shite the bed. If they're in a position to win, and we aren't, I always root for big blue. So I am biased towards them.
I'd like to clarify this is football only. And baseball. Everything but basketball. frick UK basketball
Great win MSU! You guys dominated by way more than even y'all said you would.

I think that happens to everybody!

Weird game.
Normally the State-Kty game, while not a sexy matchup is always close and competitive. While I expected a State win due to the game being at home and Grantham > Sirmon, I still thought it would be very close.
Did Kentucky have DL injuries, because they made the State OL look great (or maybe the State OL is improving, but that may be too much to hope for).
Good game cats, and good luck on the rest of the season.

All I know is Vince Marrow was chewing their asses so hard after the game that they had to stop Stoops' post game presser to tell him to dial it down a notch because everyone could hear it beyond the wall.
Seems like some kids need to get their heads in the right place.

Thanks Belle,
is this supposed to be a rebuilding yet for Kentucky?
Tt can be tough at times for college kids to maintain focus, particularly for ones on teams not used to being in the press a lot. At least in State's case it seems like every time we start doing well, the players read their own press clippings then lay and egg.
I may be getting the name wrong but wasn't Barker (the guy that came in towards the end) the QB last year? is he still recovering from an injury or did the other fellow basically take the job?

Yeah I predicted a close game and was wrong. State played great yesterday and I give them credit hopefully Stoops can get this stuff straightened out for Tennessee
