So, LSU wants to play the number 2 team in the championship game as long as it's NOT Bama.

Keep telling yourself that. Good luck on your quest to pay off the voters today.

LSU has NO fear of anyone ...meaning coach miles and the players they are willing and able to take on all comers and have proven it all year .. its lsu fans who are a mix of annoyed (having to beat a team twice when they already did on road) and worried (won't use scared) because like most they know bama is only team who MIGHT beat them.. does that sound like a fair analysis? If tide had won 11/5 I would be pissed to have to beat lsu again in Nawlins so I understand what they are saying.

as for rematch clause won't happen and this will all be moot soon because if the sec keeps up this dominance we will likely see rematches more often in a plus one or 4 team or 8 team playoff in 2 years when new contract in place.

I completely understand the fact that we lost to LSU at home. I just think that Bama will give LSU a better game than Okie State. JMHO.

Well all teams need to be in a conference and have a conference championship game. Big 12 has no conference championship game right now, only the end of the season games - OU and OSU, UT and Baylor. And ND is in not in a conference.

In 2008, SEC Commissioner Slive proposed a 4 team playoff. Big 12 Commish Beebe, Big 10 Delany and the Pac 10 commish blocked it. Since then, the SEC has gone on to win 3 straight. The SEC has won 5 straight.

If the commissioners had approved Slive's proposal, LSU would probably be playing Stanford and Alabama and Okie lite would be playing. The winners of those four would have played for it all.

quote:

Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe all but killed his own conference on April 30, 2008.

That’s when he decided to team up with the Big Ten and Pac-10 to reject a four-team playoff being pushed by the SEC and ACC. If the Big 12 (and/or the Big East) had supported it, the so-called “Plus One” model likely would’ve happened.

Big 12 blew it by eschewing playoff

Bama/LSU rematch only leaves things open to debate. Any other team with comparable record/ resume (or better) to Bama vs LSU shuts that door.

We don't need no more stinking rules.

Rules is whats got this country sucking right now.

Let the people decide.
