What happened to that guy that used to be the coach?

Not to throw the baby out with the bath water but Vols play one of the toughest schedules in the country and have not exactly gotten blown out in some of them.

Seems like every school has that non revenue sport they take pride in and like to see succeed. For Tenn, that is WBB
My guess is at it's height, it actually paid for itself. They drew more fans than mens BB for a long time.

Vols could easily finish 4-0 going into the SEC tourney

Y'all should fire her and hire Nikki away from us

For the first time ever, I laughed at a TT9 post. I am deeply disturbed by this revelation tbh

Pat Summit is rolling over in her bed

I have always enjoyed watching UT women's BB. That said, I think if they do decide to shop, they will come after Matthew Mitchel. He's a great coach and recruiter, and was a Pat Summit grad assistant.

Nikki Caldwell is available.

Nothing personal but they need to get rid of her now. Better now than when things get even worse.

Ole Miss' men's basketball team has a better record than the Lady Vols. Damn.

I hope they keep her. We are just getting good in wbb

She needed to go yesterday. I'm surprised one of the cult like WBB followers hasn't burned a building down yet in direct response to several of the terrible losses.

I just look at the difference in Diamond DeShields when she played at UNC vs. her performance with Tennessee. Makes you scratch your head and wonder if coaching has screwed her up.

Some points, for many playing the Vols it the biggest game of their year. Being down at all and it is like chumming the water for sharks.
While I will be the first to admit, Holly is no Pat, the Vols do still play a brutal schedule and a few losses could as easily have been wins. Nikki at LSU is the bigger dumpster fire this season in SEC WBB.
In summary
Brutal schedule
Target on back every game
Loss of key players to injury
Close games that were losses
Not saying Tennessee is bad as much as this is not the old Tennessee and until ESPN starts recruiting players for SEC schools like they do Uconn and the ACC schools it may not get better soon even if they can Holly. As for Tyler, he is 12-11 at La Tech so far this year so he is not knocking it out of the park yet.
As for MM rumors to Vols to replace Holly, not sure that has legs. With 2 little kids and a long term contract he seems rooted in Lexington, especially with landing #10 payer for 2017 and NCAA regionals in Lexington for the next 3 years. If he stays at UK the next 3 years he could stay home till the Final Four.
