It absolutely does.

Had OM not been typical arrogant pricks, this (including the punishment) would likely already be over. Instead, OM chose to try and make the NCAA look stupid and weak.

Guess who ended up coming out on top of that battle.

And you would be shown the door. OM pissed them off. No other school is doing that. Case closed.

We are a charter member. We aren't going to be shown the door for turning in other schools who are cheating. It would a whistleblower type situation.

When this all comes out, this same recruit had was recruited by LSU and was once committed to Bama. It's coming. Prepare thy anus.

Pretty sure they got their fill of our little Alabama town in 2010 and nothing happened then so nah, not worried.

No this is different. Ole Miss is highly irrelevant in college football and all of a sudden they started pulling in insane recruits out of nowhere. Most people were suspicious from the start

This is such an insane argument. Every major program who has had a turnaround has had a big splash instantly. Clemson has had similar results. Sabah at LSU and BAMA had a quick impact, as did Stoops at OU etc etc.

This. EVERYONE cheats. As they say in NASCAR, If you aint cheatin you aint tryin. You idiots just have to fricking get your shite together and keep your coaches out of it.

People bitch because they think Alabama cheats all the time... You know what? They're right. I have personal knowledge of 1 particular case where grades were tampered with to assure eligibility because I know the teacher that was contacted and did the tampering.

EVERY SCHOOL does it, some are just better at keeping it under wraps than others. If you think Cam Newton didnt get paid then youre an idiot. If you dont think at least SOME of those bama kids with the new cars got them from boosters or whatever, youre an idiot.

When it comes to cheating, I'll steal another saying from another demographic... Gamers.....

Get gud or get out.

Just that simple.

Sing like a fricking canary if you want. It doesn't change the fact that OM coaches and the damn Asst Athletic Director arranged impermissible benefits to players and recruits.

This shite went on right under Hugh Freeze's nose and he failed to monitor his staff or the actions of his own players even while you were under NCAA investigation.

The "Institution had no control" over multiple sports teams, multiple coaches, multiple Athletic Director's and this thing spanned multiple years.

Rebeloke, just the headline on this thread says it all. Stfu and stop trying to change the story as if the story is about the rest of the SEC.

This story is about Ole Miss and nothing but Ole Miss. You guys make me laugh with your attempts to draw focus off of your cheating asses. Lets play Wheel of Fortune.

One letter at a time and solve the puzzle. Ready?

I've wondered about that guy. He wasn't an on-the-field-coach, but was given a lot of authority in recruiting. Ole Miss had to get an exemption/waiver/special permission for Barney to fill that role. I bet that drew as much scrutiny from the NCAA as the Recruiting Class rankings. OM basically showed the NCAA where to fish , and they caught a lunker

You would be shown the door in that they would tell you "yeah, we will look into it" and then never think about it again. In essence, they don't give a shite what OM says.

It's hilarious you think that's the case. Of course, it was also hilarious you thought the '13 class was just by happenstance. Funnier still when you thought the NCAA 'couldn't find anything'. A laugh-riot when you believed the only violations where related to track and women's basketball. And perhaps the funniest of all, that you thought OM wasn't going to get buried because it was a "previous staff". That or the fact you think the immunity technique is somehow new or 'setting a precedent'.

Ole Miss is going to tuck their tail between their legs (like they should) and take their punishment. But dream away about how OM is going to take the whole SEC down with them because they got caught blatantly breaking the rules.

Your post may have merit if the NCAA investigation of OM hadn't commenced over 4 years ago.

Alabama has lost 3 SEC games in the last 4 (FOUR) seasons, I think y'all are safe.

I don't know how Barney Farrar was qualified to know the needs of Hugh's team, evaluate HS talent, and knew enough to sell the recruit on a football team that he didn't even coach a single position group?

Yet, the OM Administration AND the HC had no qualm with him actively communicating, corresponding, and recruiting for them.
