Let's say everybody who is expected to win wins next week.

Should OSU get in without winning their division?

My 4 would be:
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. PSU/Wisc
4. Washington

Yes. Sometimes the best team doesn't win their division or conference.

Maybe I should've told Alabama fans their opinion on this isn't needed after 2011

I say yes, although the reason this was created was to stop this exact scenario, which I think is funny.

Don't you have work to do on the "bus" after yesterday? Please go ahead and keep it. Love a 7-5, 8-4 year in year out coach on the plains.

I think if Wisconsin wins the Big 10 Ohio State is in because they beat them head to head.

If Penn State wins the conference I think they are in and Ohio State is left out because they beat them head to head.

Scenario 1:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Washington
4. Ohio State

Scenario 2:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Washington
4. Penn State

Yes

If Penn State wins, then both of them should be in over Washington.

If Wisconsin wins, then Washington should get in

Hopefully Clemson loses, because they are the worst of the bunch. They could easily have 3-4 losses

Ohio state would skullficke clemson or Washington. I would have michigan in before clemson or Washington. Conferences are not created equal and to get the four BEST teams in u almost have to ignore conference titles.

Washington doesn't have the quality wins in the end. Their schedule is way too weak.

Not ahead of a 1 loss Conf Champ UW or Clemson.

If CU or Va Tech get an upset then yes.

IMO

In my opinion, no they shouldn't. You should have to at least win your division to be considered.

But knowing how much the media loves and bends over for OSU I'm sure they'll get in regardless.

I would agree if that is how it plays out.

IF PSU wins, they beat OSU in the head to head.

OSU could maybe make a case of beating out Washington, but would they really jump OSU over a PAC conference champ?

In my view, OSU is in if Wisc wins, or Wash or Clemson lose. Anything else and it gets dodgy.

I think somewhere down the road we end up with a 8 team playoff with spot for each Power 5 conference winner and three at large teams which would likely include the best non P5 team.

There is no room to bitch after that.

Play first round right after Conf championships and then award bowls after that and use the format we have now for 4 team playoff.

They just beat the #3 team. They will be #2. Penn State could sneak in at #4 if they win.

Yes so we can beat them.

Unfortunately I think they'd be the 3 seed and Clemson will beat them
