Should Jalen Collins thank Amari?

LSU's rotational/second string cornerback was an early second round pick up and a big part of that was due to making Amari Cooper look human this past season. Was it more of LSU being DBU or Collins containing Cooper in a one on one matchup?

Amari put Collins on skates a few times.

The rent is due to Bama on this board. Every comment is about Bama.

By no means did Collins shut Cooper down, but he did the best job covering him one on one all season

White, aka best DB in the SEC, shut down Cooper much better than Collins did.

did you watch the game?

Collins should thank the Good Lord. Because his measurables are what got him drafted. He certainly never shined on the field for LSU. I don't see the guy making it in the League, but I guess you never know.

Yeah.. that's why Alabama attacked Collins all game. Cooper dropped a ton of passes.

How does something like this even enter your head?

The only person that shut down Amari Cooper was freshman Henre Tolliver of Arkansas. 2 catches for 22 yards

Falcons fan here. So what's the deal with this guy? I was thrilled with Beasley and coleman, but I know very little about Collins. Personally, I would have liked Gregory, Perryman or kendricks. But then again, this guy has the measurables.

watch the link above on his matchup with cooper. it gives a very good breakdown

Collins was decent and handled Amari well but by no means owned him. Collins will be a starting caliber player but Amari will be a star.

Amari just had a bad game. Collins easily could have been burned on what ended up being drops.

He was one of our more improved players last year. He has some technique issues but good measurables. That said, he wouldnt have even been guarding Cooper if our best or second best corner wasn't suspended the day of the Bama game.

Amari beat him more times than Jalen did. Most of those long passes to Cooper were over Jalens shoulders.

Wow that guy has some really good analysis. I don't know the first thing about watching film but that was very interesting.
