For his own sake? Should he risk his draft status playing another game against Bama?

He should; he won't.

Zero running backs have done this. Why would Fournette be the first? The draft doesn't give a frick about Alabama. When they watch a 235 rb run a 4.4, that will be enough.

Only an Alabama fan would think that one bad game would affect a players draft stock.

Honestly....It would probably be pretty smart for him. It's clear how talented he is. Barring injury he is very very likely to go in the 1st round.
Though not gonna lie I would hate to see him leave cfb for that. If he did it wouldn't be surprising to see others going forward do the same.

Look up Bo Jackson's numbers against Florida in 1985.

There have been RBs that had to sit out a year, for various reasons, and tried to go pro. Most of them end up flaming out.
Ask Maurice Clarett.

Well this is one of the dumbest topics so far today.

You, sir, are a genious! How did you ever come to this conclusion?

Fournette doesn't seem the type guy to do that. He is very respectful of history and his place in it. I do think it would be smart to buy some insurance though. He should get as much as he can afford.

The family has a policy on him now, and will get one through the university next year, when he becomes eligible for it.

Such an original thread. I know gumps are usually several wks behind the rest of the country but this is over a mth old. Oh. right. bama stopping him is news. Fla has a great defense, too & # 7, combining with close to 300 yrds passing, performed quite well. Teams have been stacking the line against him all season long; bama simply has the best DL in the country. He'll do just fine the rest of the season.
