Correct. But we aren't talking about shite that happened before Dabo got there. This is a shot from Dabo and he's 1-5 against us, the worst record of any Clemson coach.

Spurrier also fires witty shots out of the blue. I bet Dabo was planning that from the moment Spurrier's comments came out.

I like to imagine Dabo staying up till 3:30 in the morning, sitting at a typewriter drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes trying to think of a rebuttal.

And then...

"Yes...YES! This is it!"

Meanwhile Spurrier was asleep after playing golf all day.

Well, I don't know if he's drinking whisky.

That's cute. The only reason South Carolina hasn't is because of the two teams per conference limit in the BCS bowls. So congrats to him for having a much easier road to a BCS bowl I guess.

I get a kick out of Spunky Steve taking a punch from someone he's been jabbing at. Payback is a bitch–and Spurrier became Sweeney's with Dabo's (verbal) thrust.

I can see spurrier coming back with something along the lines of "yeah there the first team from south carolina to win a bcs game but there also the first team from the state of south carolina to give up 70pts in a bcs game"

South Carolina would have been undefeated and in the national championship back-to-back years if they were in the ACC in 2011 and 2012, and would have been in the BCS bowl instead of Clemson here in 2013

Congrats on taking a shortcut while riding the short bus I guess

Whatever it takes to keep Spurrier's attention and competitive juices flowing, I'm all for...

Clemson last year beat an uninterested LSU in their bowl game in the final seconds. Prior to that win, the signature win for Clemson in 2012 was against....Ball State. True story. Thanks LSU...

This season, Clemson warrants a trip to a BCS bowl by:

Narrowly beating UGA by 3 in their home stadium after preparing for them all off-season. UGA's biggest weakness was their inexperienced defense, while Clemson's biggest strength by far was their offense. They beat UGA by 3 only because they made their FG and UGA muffs theirs. Thanks UGA...

beating a 7-6 MD, a 7-6 Syracuse, a 7-6 BC, and a 7-6 GT...

beating NC State, Wake, and UVA who were a combined 9-27...

beating not one but TWO FCS opponents...

getting humiliated against the only quality opponents on their regular-season schedule for the 2nd year in a row...

and THAT gets you to a BCS bowl, if you reside in the ACC. I guess that's worth crowing a little, right Dabo??

You gotta love it when coaches get in the middle of the trash talking.

I was surprised I didn't see it once on sportscenter after the game.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think it's kind if hypocritical to say Dabo is a douche and Spurrier isn't. Spurrier talks a ton of shite. Not saying it's wrong, but you gotta play the game both ways.

Also, lol at the last sentence in the intro section LINK

And backs up 90% of it. Especially when talking about clemson/dabo.

Yes I never said he doesn't back it up, just pointing out that he talks a lot of shite. That's naturally going to invite rebuttal from those he targeted.

Part of the issue is that Dabo always responds to Spurrier so it makes him seem whiny and bitchy. Another part of it is that Dabo is not nearly as witty or humorous as Spurrier. The most important thing though is that Dabo has lost 5 straight games still feels he has legs to stand on when he responds.

Also the rant he went on in 2011 is nothing like Spurrier has ever done or will ever do

What really bugs a lot of USC fans is that they have to hear how big a jackass Spurrier is and that Dabo would never do anything like that because he has class knowing that a few days later hes gonna say something back.

I started a thread on tigernet asking what they thought Dabo would say in response and everybody said nothing or "go away you jealous coot". Went to bump it after hearing what Dabo said but it was deleted. I have no idea why

True, hard to match tOBC's wit

I am admittedly oblivious to any of the USCe/Clempson back and forth that happened before we joined, so maybe that's why I don't really have any disdain for Dabo (yet)
